Nice pictures, but aren't we supposed to post pictures that we have taken personally? and places that we have been personally? :)

That would limit me to 4 pictures. :( I've read about places and seen many pictures, so you can say that I traveled through books. Does that kind of traveling count?

No

OK, for you it counts :D :P

Thank you kind sir! In return I will not make fun of the eastern spiritual leaders. :D Just kidding Sasun jan, I would do that only behind your back. Ok, ok, really I am kidding. You are such a kind moderator.... ^_^

You are brilliant Anileve! Notwithstanding the little hints I gave you did solve it!!! Excellent investigative work!! ;) Hundertwasser also reminds me of Gaudi, the latter being one of my favorite architects of all time. I love all the other Art Nouveau style architects as well. I was born in Vienna and lived there for five years before we moved to the States. It's such a picturesque and friendly city. I left my heart there when we moved to LA. I have been living in Germany for the past 4 years now but I definitely prefer any country except Germany.

BTW, I really like the jokes you PMed regarding the gurus we were discussing about. :)

Domino, you are stirring up the waters. :D It's great to know that I can trust you with confidential information. Sasun, it's all lies, lies I tell you!!!!!!! I love Sri Chimnoy. Although those who understand russian would find the name quite hilarious..."Sri".

Nakarar jan, what investigative work? You practically had to chew it up and hand it to me. You don't understand, I became obsessed with the structure, all day and night I was researching trying to find out the architect, and to no avail. I've browsed through at least 6 books, and found nothing, at least now I know what architecture books not to buy. I am so glad that I've learned about him. The photos of Vienna I saw are breathtaking, I thought that the architecture was demolished and the city is dominated by architecture lacking character, but to my great surprise I found it otherwise. I did hear from stories that people there are very friendly and the majority speak English (unlike Spain). Why the negative feelings towards Germany?

I live in Frankfurt, which is relatively speaking a nice, comfortable city. Despite the skyscrapers, it's not a pretentious city. They are not unfriendly at all and I speak the language perfectly, but I can't warm up to them somehow. I work in an international bank where most of the employees are rather a cosmopolitan lot so I associate with other foreigners more frequently.

You should visit Vienna. Unlike most northern German cities, Vienna and Austria escaped relatively unscathed from the war. It's more compact and cozier than Germany and the people are genuinely more friendlier. It's definitely worth the trip.

It's that Nordic coldness I guess. After the photos I've seen (and believe me I saw many in the span of these 2 days, thanks to someone ;)), it's on my list. I envy you for being able to relocate so often, one day, one day....

Fadyush, an eye for an eye. ;)

It is good to see your positive stance :) (I won't go any further on this question  ) FYI, "Sri" is pronounced "shree" ;) (it's not a name, rather a title).
