Stormig
Alright, answers are rollin'. The next one is not fun at all - so I definitely will have to provide that this place is in France and that it has something to do with a certain person who had much to do with sadism - his residence, anyways. http://s94772541.onlinehome.us/cont10.jpg http://s94772541.onlinehome.us/cont11.jpg http://s94772541.onlinehome.us/cont12.jpg

Nakharar
Edward, I think I was wrong. I saw this exact place today in the movie "Taking Lives" starring Angelina Jolie. That movie was taking place in Montreal.
vava
Well this last one is definitely Quebec City not Montreal. Edited August 2, 2004 by vava

ED
wrong Nakharar, Vava is right its the old city, Quebec City, aldough you can easly confuse it with old Montreal. actualy I was in Montreal when they were filming that movie, it could have included shots they made in Quebec city Edited August 2, 2004 by Edward
ED
Ok, this city's famous building has something to do,............. well no, it has all to do with insurance!
vava
Hancock Tower in Boston? I think it's Pei's diesgn. Someone correct me, bu there's something special about this building - some design flaws that they had to correct after it was built because it's design was too suseptible to wind, i believe... Azat
Ok, this city's famous building has something to do,............. well no, it has all to do with insurance! I M Pei. Hancock building and Pei's career was almost lost because of it when the windows started to pop out in the summer heat. It was later discovered that it was not his design but rather the window contractors fault. I LOVE all the PEI works. Especially the Dallas Symphony, DC Museum and the most of all the Bell Tower in Japan.

Ohhhhhh man, Vava got it before me. No the building that you are inking about is in Manhattan and I think it was the JP Morgan building that they had to reword else at 70MPH wind it would have fallen over. ED
And the story goes, this building is mostly constructed by glass, during the high winds in Boston some fell and damage acquired, well those Hancock ppl got together and wanted to sue the construction company who build it, in the end they discovered the constructor was/is insured by them, Hancock
DominO123
More I see this thread, more I am sad, because I am realising that while everyone has so many pictures of places they have visited, my world is limited to Montreal.
Azat
that may be true Fadiushka, but if my world was to be limited to a single city i would take Montreal as well.
