vava
You can find the work of a young Toronto artist HERE I find his work quite interesting, although it's not necessarily a style that has 'mass appeal'. He's currentlt showing at the Moore Gallery. He uses a sructure of metal wire, with urethane, resin, silicone and loose brushed paint. But I can't really explain the work; so please read his STATEMENT. Here's an example, but i think photos don't do the work justice - you really miss the multidimensionality of it...http://www.stevedriscoll.com/images/currentwork/03.jpg

Arpa
Alright!, Enough! The preview is over!I am as guilty as any for peeking in. :) ArMat, Armen Mateosian?Thank you very much for your beautiful art. They are wonderful! A real feast for our weary eyes. We have enjoyed them all this time for free(?). Now we may be willing to pay erku luma to enter the site and enjoy them even more. Isn't it time to create a homepage, under the auspices of HyeForum, of course, and gather all of Armat's wonderful creations under one roof?Rouben (Malayan) may consider moving some of his (and his father's)wonderful creations (please spare us the AG ones) as well. How about it Garo and the host of our wonderful mods?? DominO
Armat, if you want any help concerning your site, just ask, there is many many persons here that can give you advices... as for Arpa proposition, it's a good idea ... I do have myself some projects, so I have to concentrate on that, but if you want any Flash animation with your works, with buttons etc... a virtual gallery(on flash)... ask me, I know pretty well how to work on that software, and there is some of your works which once converted as vectorial symbols would creat a very good effect, the best example is your work "Friend" which has forms and colors which could be perfectly "vectorialised." Armat
Domino wow thanks bro! I built it mostly using dreamweaver and I used photoshop for the gallery which does look good if not great. The flash animation would be great!I used a rollover effects based on my works. It does look decent but I could use second opinion for advice and perhaps some improvement with flash.I must admit flash is the thing now.I love that specially with music. Here is the background which would be tiled in three vertical.

DominO
Will you be using the rollover effect, by using an imported pic by converting it to symbol, without vectorializing it? Have you tried to convert them by using the "trace" option in Flash? Here an example of how accuratly recent programs convert pics into vectorial. This is your pic as it was posted. http://armenians.com/forum/uploads/post-5-1068007846.jpg Here is a vectorial converted form that I saved into jpg(I could have increased more the accuracy, but this one took about 45 kb on its vectorial form, more than that would not be practical). DominO
You have no idea of what you can do with it once on its vectorial format, pieces by pieces you can take each parts of, add transpancies, alphas etc... even other weird filters if you know a little of Flash programming. Armat
Domino j,I used a simple rollover effect that dreamwear does by changing two images in photoshop I got this.Vectorial? never heard of it.I will check out a book on flash.I do like layers. Sip
Armat, flash is the tool of the devil. If you ever make a website, keep it simple and clean. If you have photoshop, it can help you automatically make picture galleries ... but they will not be too fancy ... just like "photo albums". But it is a start and very easy to do.
