Takoush
A moment of silence for the lost Sarma ... Sip: Thank goodness! You're back on your feet again. Sip
I recently bought a $10 remote control jeep for the cat. So far, she seems much more interested with the little red thing on the tip of the remote antenna than the jeep itself. She also likes to sleep in the box. Anileve
3 days ago I received in mail the knife I had been drooling over for the last year+. A Kyocera Kyotop 6 1/4 inch ceramic chefs knife. I played with it a bit that evening and I could tell that that baby is sharp. Today I got my first chance to use it. Making Sarma... I chopped a few stuff then while chopping the red bell peppers I cut my thumb about 1/8 deep. I know everyone is saying that not that bad. Well, it cut through the pot part of the thumb through the nail. OUCH. it hurts like hell and there was blood all over. Well I guess we will be eating bloody sarma for halloween. Best part of the story. Nothing happened to my baby. She is still as sharp and waiting for me to make that sarma from scratch all over again Oooooy Azatyush! I slashed my finger trying to cut yams ones, I think I hit a blood vessel and all we saw was a jubilant fountain squirting from my finger it pretty much hit most of the ceiling and the walls in the kitchen. I have never seen a more powerful stream...maybe only a fire hose. I didn't feel any pain at first, but then oh Sweet Mother of Paganism!!!! So I know how awful that must have felt. If it's any consolation, your sarma (whatever that is) must have been sweet like the cook. My dish was rather spicy . How are you poncho? Sip
I bought me a $10 food chopper at walmart ... I will never need a knife again! That chopper was to go along with my $8 crock pot and $6 toaster. I have made a decision not to buy anything over $10 anymore (excluding tax, license, and additional mandatory fees as they may apply. Rebate offers may be excluded and subject to different rules. Void where prohibited. Batteries not included.) vava
Sorry Sip - Food chopper or not (regardless of the $$) a good set of knives is probably THE most important tool in the arsenal of some who likes to cook (and for whom food is not merely an evil necessity). angel4hope
aww rest in peace little fishies... yeah i heard that there are certain rules for owning a fish tank, that apparently you cant put different types of fish in one tank, they tend to feast on one another... hence why i do not own pets, i get too attached lol... that sucks for your kids, were they really struck by it? vava
About a year ago, the LCD on my car stereo started acting up. At first, a few numbers didn't quite look right (8's looked like 0's etc.) But the problem got worse, to the point where I couldn't tell which CD track was playing, or which radio station I was tuned to, and even the clock figures went out of whack. It's been almost 6 months now that I guess for the radio stations, flick randomly to find CD tracks, not to mention being late once in a while 'cause I don't have a friggin' clock that works! Good news, after I check the warranty specifics, I realised that the audio system is fully covered. So I took the car in to the dealer to get the radio fixed/replaced. They claimed it wasn't covered I insisted, and wouldn't take no for an answer, and eventually they conceded that in fact it was covered. BUT THEN, they claimed that there was nothing wrong with it and that it played fine, and the sound was good. The fact that the LCD was dysfunctional wasn't an issue. I was fuming!! After about an hour more of hassling the service manager, the dealer FINALLY relented and ordered me a new radio. Earlier this week, they called to let me know the part was in. This morning, as I was driving to the dealer to get it replaced, I noticed that the LCD, magically, was working perfectly!!!!! I just about lost my mind. How does this happen?????
