aww rest in peace little fishies... yeah i heard that there are certain rules for owning a fish tank, that apparently you cant put different types of fish in one tank, they tend to feast on one another... hence why i do not own pets, i get too attached lol... that sucks for your kids, were they really struck by it?

While I was at the bookstore a fe days ago, stocking up on scantrons, highlighters, sticky notes and al sorts of goodies before class began-- ( being the nerd I am, I enjoy shopping for school and coursebooks...)... anyway... So I finished my search for courseooks and bright pink highlighter that would ovverride the neon yellow one applied all over my once used and abused motivational Psych book... Being bored out of my witts due to the ong line for the register, i decided to pick up this book entitled "He's just not that into you: the nno excuses truth t ounderstanding guys" written by the authors of the all so famous "Sex and the City". So i began flpping through the pages and found the book quite amuzing. Its been only two days since ive gotten a hold of the bok, and im 3/4 done. I tell you, its awesome! I wouldnt quite classify it as a serious read or some intellectual masterpiece, but it is quite refreshing in its own manner. Basically the book explores the bullshi$$ women CLAIM they go through while dating (men). Beginning with the "he doesnt call me"....and ending with "he slept with another woman".... It offers straight forward and blunt responses to women who seem to have low self esteem and those who make excuses for the behavior of the men they are dating.... I thought it was a fun book to read, but it didt offer anythign i did not kow already... i would reccomend it to women who complain about their boyfriends, "friends" with benefits or what not and for those who let men walk all over them.... SOme of the scenarios presented by the audience in the book were so rediculloius that i felt like t hey were coming from pre-teen litle girls... to my surprise these women ranged from their early/mid twenties all the way to their mid thirties.... i would have thought women at that age would be more expereinced and smarter and would figure out if a guy was not al that "into them"... anywhoo... moral of the story is, if you want to read somethig fun and laugh at some of these women's situations and their stupidities, by all means grab this book!!.... I do think that we need more psychologists in this world.... haha... considering the fact that so many women have such low self esteem.....and they actually accept abuse in a relationship and stoop down so low that they get kicked in he head.... i rest my ummm case?!!

Here's my two cents... I do think that homosexuality is somehow predisposed in certain human beings and not others, but I do also think that people have a choice in it.... As Domino said, jsut because there's a predisposition, it does not mean that the person is automatically homosexual. Being predisposed means that given the right environmental circmstances- including embryonic hormones duriong development, and social contexts after birth, people become so.... Think of predisposition as the following: certain diseases such as pscoriosis (i hope im spelling it corecctly), people who are predisposed have full potential of having the disease at some point in their lives, but only if presented with the right circumstances, such as environmental stressors that may cause the disease to be expressed- this is called a stress diathesis model in psychology-- anywhoo i will end with that

wow thats really mind boggling eve... I would have to say that i surely agree with you that this seems to be abusive and that women who claim that they enjoy such treatment do indeed have some sort od psychological abnormalities or what not. I know there are freaky people out there, for example, those who are into S&M and so forth, and indeed they are psychologically unstable and abnormal... There is an extent to which certainthins can be enjoyable moderately- although I find it hard to believe that pain, in any sort of way,shape or form can be pleasurable. I just think that there are some "messed-up" people out there and that anything is possible, but I would have to also sya that those sorts of people have either been abused in the past and are used to such abusive behaviorto the extent that they cannto distinguish between plasure and pain, or such people have severe neurobiological problems with the wiring of their pain and pleasure centers of their brains- i see soem sort of abnormality- i will definately research more upon the subject... sounds lke a good topic for my upcoming research assignment ...
