If there are some Muslims in majority Christian areas, then there are Christians and Druze in majority Muslim areas too, no? For example, in the South, there are some Christian villages.

To answer your question Dave , the most homogeneous areas (relatively) are those of the Druze , and this is the result of the actions of Druze warlord (and Ramgavars' favourite ally ) Walid Jumblatt who massacred a great many Christians and drove out the remaining ones from the Mountain (Chouf ) , during the so-called 'war of the mountain' . today , the Christians are still unable to return and remain Internally Displaced. There was a fund for IDP صندوق المهجرين and it was embezzled by Jumblatt & co. and the overwhelming majority of the Christian displaced were unable to return to their villages . i know many Christians from Aleyy and other areas who lost everytthing they had and to tthis day cannot get any of it back ! Walid Jumblatt has built a kingdom of his own up there . .. ! and as for other areas , in Sunni-majority North Lebanon there are some Christian areas particularly in Zgharta and Ehden and Bcharre and Batroun . In South here are many Christian villages and also some mixed Christian-Shiite ones . But in Christian areas of Mount Lebanon there are virtually no Muslims with exception of Jbeil/Byblos...

Until then, as long as the U.S. government (and, indirectly, the American people) are sponsoring and financing the Israeli terrorism against the Palestinians, Lebanese, Iraqis, and Iranians, and as long as the U.S. government remains hijacked by Zionists to have the American military fight Iraqis and Iranians on behalf of Zionism, the U.S. government (and the American people which it represents) will be considered enemies by the people who are being attacked -- Palestinians, Lebanese, Iraqis, and Iranians. It is only natural.

 

No one here is happy about anything in that part of the world.

Anyway, returning to the topic of the "Situation in Lebanon", recently, the USA has sent military aid to the Lebanese army. I've heard reports that go as far as sayng that it will send M1 Abrams tanks to the Lebanese army. I ask myself, why does the Lebanese army need all that crap to wipe out 200 (of which 60 have been killed) so-called "Fatah al-Islams"?

 

The answer has nothing to do with aiding Lebanon militarily. It is to encourage the creation of more and more "Fatah al-Islam"s in Lebanon, so they give a green light for discouraged and enraged youth to form more and more Al-Qaeda copy groups. American military aid will pump up Islamists and people generally disliking the USA to take up arms and fight the newly "American puppet and militarily aided" Lebanese army. It will be like fighting the American army (creating a proxy war between so-called "Al-Qaeda" and the USA). The current Lebanese government (Siniora and co.) are already all American and Zionist spies... this American aid will only make people hate the USA and this puppet government even more and will lead to more and more appearances of Al-Qaedas.
