This has Armenian from Armenia written all over it; typical modus operandi. I'll let you ask Azat what dialect of Armenian the woman spoke. P.S. I'm not from Bourj Hammoud, but would be proud if I was.

OK. OK. NOT the entire culture. But there's just so MUCH of this ridiculous news coming everyday from this bunch, it's difficult NOT to comment. (Could it be that 50% are criminals and only 50% are "hard working and law abiding citizens". That might be it. If so, my apologies to the less than 50%; it must be painful to be living among so many "goghakans" who are proud of being thieves.) Maybe Los Angeles + Yerevan == Bad news; and Moscow + Yerevan == Bad news? I don't know how the culture ever came to be this way... It's complicated. I don't even want to understand. I guess the 50% of the hard working ones have gotten used to this? That must be tough. On one Jewish lawyer's desk you will find clearly written "HELP OTHER JEWS" to remind him everyday of his higher purpose, the fundamental way of thinking that's let to a positive feedback loop in his community; and on at least one Հայաստանցի's you will find...
-
That was a very unpleasant read Azat... That is unheard of an Armenian woman calling you and laughing at your face! (what type of culture is this???) This reinforces my reasons why I stay CLEAR of Հայաստանցիs (Armenians from Armenia)! They even screw their own! Most will befriend you only when they need something. Now... THAT's how those thug/mafia-looking (what they call "goghakan" in Hayasdantsi-speak) 20-to-30-something-year-old guys driving Rolls Royces in Glendale make their "money." I wouldn't be surprised if the guy who played this scam on you is someone you know personally... I know I'm not doing ANY business with stantsis -- no restaurants, mechanics, body shops, doctors, or dentists! What a plague...

Let's leave Armenian encoding to technologists who say use Unicode. And let's leave Armenian orthography to linguists who say use traditional Armenian orthography. That article you cited above is by someone who admittedly says he's no linguist... Armenian ebonics/village orthography must be dropped!

Law for what?

I'm not sure what the issue is. But Unicode is a relatively new phenomenon in computing. When the Armenian NLS system (ArmSCII encoding) was designed, Unicode did not yet exist. Neither did Unicode exist when the Arasan-compatible encodings were created. This problem has existed across every other script in the world except the Latin script, since the Latin script was part of the original ASCII encoding. All future Armenian sites should encode using Unicode for maximum useability. The problem with Aztag is that the software they use to layout their newspaper pages does not support Unicode; in addition, the software they use to automatically convert from Soviet Armenian orthography to Classical Armenian orthography and vice-versa does not support Unicode. However, it is a simple (but expensive) matter to convert ArmSCII to Unicode, given the right software, at least for the stuff they put online...

It's too bad they're still not using Unicode to encode the information. This makes accessibility as well as searching (e.g. through Google) extremely difficult.

Sidebar in Glendale of course But La Crescenta Armenian community center isn't so bad either, but a bit tight. -
You may find a plethora of information at the following sites (they are more Science than fiction, but some people still consider them sci fi, but I don't...). I think it's enough for one semester... http://www.kurzweilai.net/index.html?flash=1 (Ray Kurzweil is a popular futurist) http://www.singinst.org/ (The Singularity Institute seeks to create a friendly and benevolent artificial general intelligence; there is a conference this weekend in San Francisco they have created http://www.singinst.org/summit2007/) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asimov (This guy is the most cited and most popular sci fi writer; his short story "The Last Question" is of particular note as the universal intelligence ends up reversing entropy and starts spawning universes -- sorry I spoiled it for you ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_Singularity http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/8.04/joy.html (Article by founder and former Sun CTO Bill Joy on the future.) http://www.kurzweilai.net/articles/art0134.html?printable=1 (Ray Kurzweil's article, "The Law of Accelerating Returns" that explains the universe from the beginning to present times and how exponential evolution of technology has been going on since the beginning of time; just as inanimate matter "experienced" a singularity when animate matter was formed, and just as "fish" experience a Singularity when animals started walking on land -- made the jump from the ocean to to land, in the next century, humans are likely to experience a Singularity -- this time, intelligence will jump substrates from biological to non-biological substrates, likely leading to practically immortal and increasingly intelligent entities whose computational complexity is only bounded by the size of the universe -- see Asimov's "The Last Question" above.) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1079797626827646234 ("Building Gods" -- 2006 -- the movie; about how humans are literally creating immortal and practically infinitely intelligent beings -- gods -- as we speak.)

Մուկ these two elements are intertwined; the U.S.'s foreign policy is governed by special interest groups (as Chomsky explains) and the vast majority of these special interest groups are related to the economy, particularly large corporations (controlled and owned mostly by the power elite) not only lobby in Washington but through their advertisements and control over the media shape American society from spending habits, to voting habits (e.g. the ridiculousness of making people think that two political parties can represent 300M people), to manufacturing their culture and even their personalities. In the case of the war in Iraq and the bogus/manufactured "war on terrorism", the special interest groups were: 1) Fossil fuel companies, who wanted more control of the oil in Iraq and the gas in Afghanistan 2) Defense contractors, who not only provide the physical hardware for war -- missiles, bombs, ammunition, guns, tanks, F-16s -- but also all of the logistics like food, fuel, clothing, training, etc. 3) Global capitalists (banks) who finance the war and the American people (the masses who pay taxes; not the power elite who barely pay any taxes) end up taking the bill, paying a lot more than $1 over the long run for $1 borrowed today by the "U.S. government" 4) Zionist lobby that wishes to trample all opponents to the Zionist state, including Iraq, Syria, and Iran... --------------------------------- So the bulk of the U.S.'s foreign policy isn't at all in the best interest of the bulk of the American people nor to any bulk population; indeed, it is harmful. The U.S.'s foreign policy is dictated by the power elite through vehicles known as corporations and banks. Numbers 1-3 above are BIG business in the trillions of dollars! These businesses are being subsidized by the American masses who will in turn still pay MORE for gasoline and MORE for anything since the dollar devaluated and MORE in taxes! (the irony...) The "terrorists" were manufactured; all the evidence points to foreknowledge of 9/11 by US and Israeli intelligence. There is even talk of the buildings being a controlled demolition which I agree with, too, having seen the perfectly symmetrical way in which the Twin Towers came down, as well as the bogus way in which WTC 7 collapsed. There is no doubt in my mind that WTC 7 was a controlled and planned demolition... It is impossible for a concrete and steel building to collapse in on itself with just a bunch of debris hitting it (no planes hit it!). Only a professional demolition crew can so exactly demolish a building to display that sort of free fall characterized in the WTC7's collapse which you can watch here: The silence in the media as well as the lack of official investigation into how WTC 7 collapsed is really amazing! Control the information that people receive and you control their behavior. Elementary universal AI theory that stated in another way is 'control the training set of the UAI and you control its behavior.'

I don't like repeating myself; the discerning mind already has the knowledge s/he needs.

Talking about judging a book by its cover... You think the guy had any choice as to what he physically looks like? Did you?

FYI Guys, this person is likely collecting e-mail addresses to SPAM you, so make sure not to send any e-mail for your own good.. Not that you were going to respond anyways (He'll be selling your e-mail address to advertisers who will then send you email, or will be running the show himself.)
