Well - if your not ready for marriage - by all means don't get married (I mean shouldn't that be obvious? regardless of pressures and such)...thoguh regarding your boyfriend..if he does indeed become the "one" etc...sometimes one must subvert ones own desires/beliefs or what not to please others (particualrly spouse/future spouse)...if he loves you he should be willing to do this for you and your family...if and when you do get married. Well thats my take on it anyway. And that is if thats what you want. You don't have to get married in a church - you don't have to do anything you don't want..your family will get over it. But consider - that while certainly a marriage and what not is primarily for you - there is an aspect of it being a family event. You will have to weight these various demands - but ultimatly it is your call - you need to do what is best for you (though if you can at allaccomodate the folks and such - why not eh? They have done much for you in your life - so perhaps it is not a bad thing to give them a little something back) Anyway - good luck - and try not to let these things spoil your holidays. Talk it out a bit first - be concillatory and say your thinking about it (and imply that maybe a little less pressur emight be a good thing)...etc etc Hope that helps...

I can concur with all you have wrotten here BTW...and I am also very supportive of your passion on these issues. Having come accross these Armenain racist types of whom you speak - and being shocked by their existance - that I had not even really suspected (as such..sur ethe old school Armenian racisim - which is bad enough)...but this new breed...so sad realy...and so misguided...and potentially harmful to us... I think your pretty clueless regarding Vayri's very well articualted points. Its unfortunate that there are Armenians like you who equate Armenian pride as something akin to white nationalism - or like any other race based xenophobic approach - much as the Turks with their self-delusions and the Germans and others. The point is - that those of us who have suffered from such should see the folly of it. I'm so saddened that there are Armenians like you who have totally failed to lern the lessons of our peoples suffering (at the hands of those who thought much as you do). We should be the first to embrace others and see the commonality of the human condition. And we should understand the meaningless of these categorizations (and worse - the great harm) that you hang so much credence on. I certainly can't at all fathom it - regardless. Oh and BTW - FMF (as well as related [?] iron defficiency complexes) are unique to Armenians, Arabs and certain Jews....and are found among no other populations as far as I am aware (and perhaps Turks now...but we should all understand the whys to this) And Vayri - a very impressive post - here here! - well said and well thought- kudos!

This is certainly true...don't know about the rest though..in the end likely doesn't change much - I'm very glad we got him though - for a number of reasons,,he was a really bad guy for one...and him being out there was a potentially rallying point for some of the old school Baath thugs. So good. I am afraid though - that this whole capture/trial or what have you will be strung out for maximum (pro-current US regeim) propoganda effect...and I do not se this as a good thing..it might be fun for a while...but I suspect that it will get old pretty quick...

Anileve - I will employ you in any capacity that you like... And as skillful as I am (we can leave it at that) ...I do have one fatal flaw when it comes to politics - I tell the truth/give my honest opinions & what not...so I'm basically sunk there...and yeah - I can ass kiss with the best of them (for the right anticipated reward!) ...though in fact in my professional life I abore such and have never practiced it (always the opposite in fact).. But seriously - I do believe in my heart all I have written here concerning equality for women. It has always been a very important issue for me. I have always pursued relationships and my expectations and outlook in such have always been from this perspective...etc etc (so micro as well as macro perspective on this...global and personal)...and for this reason I have always called myself a feminist. And thats not to say that I don't appreciate those little super short elf one piece throws that is your preference...and that you wear nothing underneath...etc...wouldn't have it any other way (not saying I am demanding or expecting such...but that I fully appreciate the [obvious] differences between males & females...and really don't think that being open (as a society) in this regard means that we will ultimatley end up as an androgenous one..(certainly hope not...)

Anileve - I agree (I am something aint' I? LOL j/k) ...I don't think that these isues are just important to women. Awareness of such - and true equality/gender nuetral attitudes - are to me - a sing of maturity and enlightenemnt in society. And after all - if one part of the population can keep the other down for whatever contrived reason - then what is to keep that group or some subset etc of putting down others and so on...so to me elimintaing gennder biases and dsicrimination is all part of the picture of ensuring maximum rights and respect for all people...all races...all types etc etc...and this rteally does mean quite a bit to me... Oh and as for lobbying etc...well it never hurts..and I count those votes just as much or more due to my relentless campaigning then to any real following/fan club per se (even if I merit one! LOL) ...and no vote is irrelevent. I always have disliked this perspective (sory to disagree here)...in fact I have never voted fora major party candidate for President 9and have been voting since the early 80s)...and i have no feeling at all that my vote has ever been wasted or irrelevant (well perhaps I do...fight the power!) LOL

Yeah Skittles & Anileve - well put. I'm so very glad that my wife exhibits none of these traits...in fact I have only heard her comment positively concerning (the looks of) other women. And she has always been the first to point out a hot bodor such for me when we are out and such! ...and in fact I do the same for her as well - all the time! We have great fun with it!

These women were truly pioneers - and a testaent that it not only men with the (technical) smarts or know-how/ability to apply it etc...However the great imbalance for such in history is clearly attibutable to the restrictive life paths that most women have had to endure throughout history(particualrly since the ascendency of patriarchial monotheistic based cultures). And to any who profess beliefs and attitudes that women should continue to be denied equal access/oppurtunity to pretty much any potential carreer field - or in any way advocates denial of oppurtunity for women to pursue their dreams - whatever they may be - on an equal footing with men - as free humans should be - well a pox on them! (how did I do? ...will this be considered sufficient pay off for that vote? ...OK..good..I won't tell anyone if you wont...)

(or you expressing it here - in fact I welcome it - as I always welcome divergent views - etc - as long as they are not hatefull or narrow minded/paraochial...and even then I'm not for stopping anyone from expressing themselves). I may kid you about it (your gayness...and I have gay friends I do the same with...so no big deal...waht do i care really...) - but if you've ever noticed I've always given you full support when its come to any issue of homophobia or what not. Well thanks Dan...but i don't have Publisher (was looking/hoping for something readily available)...pls for the Armenian fonts... Word too has a calender function (though not the word i am using)...

I want to make my own 2004 calender with English and Armenian Months and other inscriptions etc. I plan to insert my own pics for each month etc etc - anyone have any idea if a template for such is available anywhere? Any ideas?

Obviously the concept of creationism (and any who hold such a belief) is in opposition to the concept of Scientific method as generallypracticed and accepted by Scientists in the world today (just as evolutionary theory is fully consistent with such). But denying the nobel prize to someone deserving based on achievemnt/accomplishment - for beliefs having nothing to do with such achievement..or even for being a jerk etc...well - I find this disturbing and unfourtunate. But I guess it is a private award that is decided upon by a commitee or such - and they can give the prize to whomever they like...oh well...
