Sev MArde Jan - Great post! I pretty much totally agree with what you are saying. And while I think the size thing does interest some gals - true or not (and I have to think that there is at least something to it...though there is certainly veriability in all peoples..and the whole thing is basically overblown I think [as there is much more to a relationship and what gals want]...no puns intended...) - but I think some gals are attracted to black guys more because of attitude (confidence) and general physical fitness (most black guys that white gals go for are pretty athletic), and just for the difference. Young gals particualry - like all young kids - are a bit rebellious of parents & socities values etc - and want to be different - well dating a black guy certainly does all of that. And why should anyone care what does it for someone else. And anyway - for most I think its just a phase or what not (though I've heard that term - go black - never come back - sort of thing...this I know is false..from experience [gals i once dated who had dated black guys before me...and I must say if anything i heard the opposite!] - LOL ..but thats just an individual experiecne of course). Anyway if a relationship works out - well fine. Like you have said - we need to consider people as individuals - nt just a category. So its up to the individual. And we live in a mixed world - its just the way of it - and its not going back (for better [for the most part I think] or worse)...so we must get used to the idea - and we must have tolerance for others - in all respects.

I disagree that you are as liberal regarding women's choices as you just state. I mean you right away speak to women obeying God - and then you list perhaps what some of those things are...and of course you are implying other things - that your God suposedly decrees for women (not my God BTW...I aknowledge no God/s)... ...and another thing - to me - for anyone to make a claim that God is male is highly insulting and by definition ignorant. My religion speaks to male and female forces in equal balance...I have no trust for a male only God (and we can obviously see why...though at least he was looking out for the wife just a bit...)...still as far as I'm concerned both he and you have much maturing to do in regards to attitudes about the sexes...just my opinion...

And I never said I hated you BTW...though perhaps i shall refrain from going into a long rant myself concerning the utility(?) of religion in my eyes and related. But let me say - if you claim to respect women - and even if lets agree that there are differences between men and women - shouldn't you respect a woman to choose her own destiny - to be whatever type of person she wishes to be - without restrictions and with the same oppurtunities and considerations as a man? And to me a women who makes her own choices - and who suceeds in whatever she pursues (and this certainly includes being a mother and a housewife or whathave you) - well that to me is very sexy...but I have never felt the need to be intrerested in a subserviant women...I'm not very into dogs either...I mean I like them and all...but have never really much had a desire to own one.. I was never much for marches and protests in my youth - unless for a cause that I really believed in and was very bothered by something. Well one of these was the massacres commited by the phallangists on the Palestinian camps (Shabilla & ? - forgot the other name now) - implicitily enabled/allowed/encouraged by Sharon. This and other actions by the Isrealis (including cluster bombing of Armenian hospitals) really disgusted me. So I joined a protest in front of the white house. There were many Armenians there and others as well (and I brought wine of course - I was very popular! as these things go)...and we got into a bit of a scuffle with the JDL who arrived in a bunch of pickup trucks and started attacking isolated protesters on the fringes - got pretty nasty actually...anyway for me it was exactly half a life away - as I was 21 and am 42 now...I just found that to be interesting...

No disapointment Mx5...glad you can join us - from wherever...and its good nes tat te Armenian comuity in Lebanon is still active...I've heard a lot of doom and gloom concerning it (understandably considering what yu all have gone through)...

Well - I wanted to stay out of this one - considering how I got basicaly no support when I commented on the feminism thread (BTW - looks like we've got a guy here for ya nairi...it can be just the way you aparently like it...) Interesting Mr Azhyem - that you speak to obeying your God and then give us examples of his wrath - destroying and killing 20,000 innocents in Iran etc...I suppose Bam must be some sort of Sodom eh? (some power & glory to be proud of eh?) Its interesting to me that you seem to have more of an Old Testament concept of God - fear, punishment, obeying laws etc...and then - of course - this idea that women are somehow subserviant to men - must obey eevn stricter covenants etc...how convienieeeeeent....oh well just observations....and I'll let the ladies fend for themselves on this one...but perhaps I'm wrong...maybe you should be prepared for some marraige offers (likely the gals [Nairi's?] father or brother will contact you...)... Domino - I fully agree that we need to address all of the denilaist claims one by one and show them for what they are...still I think you fail to understand that the truth truth does not always prevail...that most people don't bother reading all the arguments and that media sound bites and such can often have more effect on opinion and such then substance (and I'm not just refering to opinion of those who don't matter - but Government and elected officials etc). So this sort of thing - the various denials can have effect and must be countered. In fact if you don't think that the denialisits are important - then why bother countering their denials? And I have to dtress that countering them by detailed fact is of course paramount - but not always sufficient in and of itself... I do agree though - that for those in the know - the Turksigh arguments are often quite ludicorous...problem is - is that those in the know are a distinct minority....

Well generaly correct - but my camcorder is a semi-pro model that has photo capability built in (and there are a few out there like this now). You would really be very hard pressed to know its not from a digicamera - and I've even blown pics up to 8x10 that are still decent. But yeah - in general most camcorders not made for stills - agreed...and vice versa...

Oh and Sip - I do agree the Canon is a great camera - my wife has had use of one through her work and I "tested" it quite extensively - and did prefer it to the Olympus....but not for $200 more! and the Olympus just seems more compact to me...not sure if it is though...

Sasun - i don't know - i take video with a video camcorder - not my camera...but i guess ti depends what your looking for - never used my camera for vid (can only do 15 sec anyway)...though my eldset kid is always houding em to do vid..I don't want to take up the space on the memory card... Also - my camcorder does take pretty decent pics - it has aphoto mode (progressive scan) and uses 3 CCDs - so color accuracy is better then most any digital camera (under a few grand)...though resolution ain't so great...good for 4x6s though...and for viewing pics on the comp or on the TV etc

Interesting comparo - Cannon S400 (as recommended by Sip) and Olympus D-560 (as recommend by THOTH) (also note that a 4 MP veriosn of the 560 (not sure of the number) - retails about $50 more....

hyegurl I don't think anyone is really trying to be mean to you. But you must realize that most who are here are adults. And you are only 14...OK going on 15 - still you are (essentially) a child/teenager...and thats OK - and you are certainly welcome here - but you should understand that adults ussually/often communicate differently with one another then they do with children/teenagers...OK. And not everyone is used to communicating with someone your age. And many folks here are hoping/expecting more then just someone saying hello and what not - and I think maybe that they are hoping that you will talk more - about the subjects of threads here - and issues raised etc - perhaps from your perspective - give your opinions and explain why you think a certain way....(good practice for you writing your thouhgts too!). And I think some are hoping that you can use this oppurtunity - of interacting with adults - to learn how to become and think more like an adult yourself. Now this isn't being mean - its just how adults interact. And I think you can see by now - that most everyone here is nice and well meaning. But you need to consider that most of us are at different places in our life then you are now - and again - nothing wrong with that (I wish i were your age again! Believe me I do! LOL) - in fact its very nice and nice to have you here - but some I think are hoping that you might try to interact more as/like an adult might - if that makes sense? And maybe this isn't your thing - or your not able - for whatever reason - and thats OK too - but not everyone is going to react to you like you might expect OK. Does any of that make sense?
