I know as much "half-breed"armenians as them who has both parents of armenian heritage. And i see no difference. Someone who has two parents can speak more badly then someone who just has one armenian parent. It all has to do with the parents prioroties, and weither or not they want to keep the armenian heritage alive through there children. Even I who is born in another country, and i do not boast that i speak good armenian, but when i went to armenia, i spoke even better than most of the people there...(they have started to use a lof of russian words and many slang words like -karas, ara, xi,.. wich i find dreadful ) My own cousin is half-armenian, and if I fínd out that he stopped speaking the language, and forgets it ......hell will break loose! And my other cousins have both parents and they all, half or full armenain, speak equally well.

There are many armenian "" mourning""songs, but not many has been recorded or is available on the market unfortunatly. But what i would recommend is music with Duduk, and Lusine Zakarian/Komitas.

I agree with Davo. They are already selling out armenia. People from all over the world come to armenia and buy out cheap antiques, that really belongs in the national museum.People are poor and sell them for cheap prices, we're selling out our national heritage. And it wont take long before mcdonalds will start to pop out in every street corner in armenia as well.

Sinan is indeed armenian. Most of the artchitect behind all the mosks and palaces in todays turkey were armenian, and not greek. not only in turkey, look in iran..their famous bridge, dont recall the name, was built by armenians/armenian architecture, and also a few moskees.

hahaha, santa claus beeing turkish !!!!! They used to teach that back at elementary school. i got mad and questioned them , and said how could he have been turkish when turkey didin't exist as a country till much later on. and the fact that he is a christian bishop! people are so stupid to understand this as it seems.

This hole armenian-identity- anka-disscussion remind me of an incident when i was younger and went to armenian class or "native language lesson" wich is held once a week,,ouside of public school. There was an armeniangirl same age as myself in the remarkable small class of students, while we were learning our alphabet and the langauge, who said, why should I learn armenian? (My answear: well...why are you here then' dear?)

We are discussing a nation here, not anyones personal view of armenianess. If anka is "ashamed" of her nation, and is proud that she puts out Buddhist pictures in her livingroom and not Ararat its her buissness. Everyone is intitled to their own opinion about their heritage, but don't bring down a hole nation in the trash.
