  1. Originally we used many common words as we are close indo-europan nations. And that is not IRAN/Iranian, but Persian. Acutally some of them the armenians still use that the persians have abondened and are not in use anymore in the persian vocabulary they could have been replaced with arabic words.
  2. The Sergei Paradjanov museum in yerevan, also is an intresting place to see.
  3. Yes, there is a actually a connection with the both. Armenian and ethiopian alfhabet as the ethiopian based their alfhabet on the armenian alfhabet. We have had cultural exchange through centuries with the ethopians, with the bringing of christianity to ethiopia ( wich i think the armenians also contributed a lot with ) the exchange between the two countries increased.
  4. Wait a minute... I am sorry here but i think youre beeing a bit naive to say the least. How many immigrants came to ARMENIA from Arabia?? I am sure they weren't that many immgrants from Arabia. You certainly have dubble standars here, blaming armenian immigrants from other countries for the corruption that is in armenia??? :fyou: Sounds weird to me.

  8. turks and israelis are taught to think the same way ( by their goverment). They have occupied someone elses lands ( the least they have done), and they continuesly deny that. as for the armenians, they real defenders of israel, avoid to mention them or the palestinians in the same context if they are dicussing politics and israel. Plz, we dont give a damn if they LIKE us or not. What really matters is what they DO and not say.

    Noah's Ark Found?

there are plenty of armenian churches and places already in turkey wich has been found. Its not very hard for them to change the name, from armenian to turkish. It will not be an armenian monstary but a turkish(in the time when they were christians, u know...)

    Noah's Ark Found?

They have already "found"a bit of wood (arceologs) that they say could be the rests of the Noaha ark. The turks have already made a buissness out of it!!! And as you might know the armenians aren't "allowed" near ararat.
  16. I'd rather call it, that they number of disrespectful turks are many, and corruption is widly spread in turkey.

  19. The armenians May have strongly belived in communism(thought they were far from the only ones in the soviet union) and yes they did a lot for soviet, they even sacrifyied their lives. But what good did stalin ever do to the armenians, why do you say Stalin was allah for them?( This may be true when it comes to the georgians)! Who do you have as Allah ? Yourself?

    Cultured

intresting topic... I think you are always beeing so judjmental when it comes to soviet. Everyone knows that in the soviet periods the culture was the most important part of the schooling! Not only in armenia but in uzbekistan in azerbajdjan so on... They got some sort of a democratic goverment, they learned about culture, science, -education. A huge investment was made to teach those people living in the soviet union, who maybe not had a very huge knowleadge of the cultures" to learn. (why do you think so many azeri singers actually sing armenian songs, but in azeri, many armenian composers wrote songs in for the azeris during the soviet) Yeah what happaned to the culture, when soviet collapsed? It cleared way so the rabiz singers could find their way I think that the best thing that is apart of todays indepence armenia prior to soviet, is that the stores acutally have something on the shelves for people to buy )
