I am slightly older than you, and agree with many of your points. However, I think even without an Israel, the U.S. on it's own has done enough in the view of many oppressed Muslims to incur a 911 reaction. I am against the current U.S. policy in Iraq, and as an army veteran support Kerry in his bid to allow the world together to solve the world's problems. I actually hate the draft dodging neocons..both Jew and Christian, who send our finest to war when they acted cowardly. I especially hate that five time draft dodging coward Cheney and his pushy wife. Maybe we will all wake up to a better beginning the day after election. Make sure you all vote. It is true that according to strict Jewish law her children are Jewish and have the right to return to Israel and get blown up! Big deal. Many intermarriages in reality like this dilute both parties..probably a good thing...especially in the great mellting pot America. Actually I and many other grassroots Jews have been pushing and educating about the serious omission of the Armenian Holicoust[sp?} and I do believe it will be recognized in Israel as stated . It is my mission to make Jews aware and sensitive that we are not the only ones hurting in history and that linking ourselves with others that had a same fate is in our best interest and the right thing to do. I was talking about the election of leaders and policy making..this includes all aspects of Israeli life beside defense..such as the definition of who is a Jew in the Law of Return, closing of stores on Saturday,etc. Yid Kid

As I was trying to say the radical orthodox swing the majority in Israel. Israel considers Iran and Syria their threat. They told Bush before the war that Iraq had no nuclear to speak since 1991.They only were concerned about chemical and biological. They couldn't care less about this war..other than that if it owrked syria would have been next. YidKid

That{Aggressive actions in the teritories} is between Sharon and Bush, both of whom most Jews in Amer do not support including me, and neither do most Israelis in Sharons case..parliamentary elction allows the minority to rule at times. I agree that the prison pics and the Berg pics together on the whole have a NEGATIVE affect on the support for the war. It has made me sick of the whole thing. I hope Iraq on june 30 asks us to withdraw and we oblige. This war was a big mistake. I was for it at first like many americans, but having been in the army during the Viet Nam war, I can't take this anymore. We need peace. Yid Kid

I have been to Israel too and I agree on some of the posters views. Most Israelis and Palestinians are very nice everyday people with mutual problems. The Armenian Quarter is one of the nicest areas.Actually, Jerusalem is beautiful..go there one day if you haven't. you will leave with a radically different view of the local situation there..YidKid P.S. I don't contribute to Jewish organizations except the JNF which plants trees. They {Lobby}don't push my cause necessarily.They are political, not spiritual or religious. Just a note for what it is worth..the restaurant she blew up was co owned by a Jew and Arab. It frequented by Arabs a lot, and I believe at least half the victums were Arab. Just food for thought. I personally don't care what they show in the museum. Those lik emyself who have been to the Haifa and seaside twons know they are relatively integrated and have good coexistance and even relationships between Israeli Arab and Jewish population.
