The basic premis here is rather simple. I will use the words of Bill Maher. "We should NOT become tolerant enough to tolerate intolerance." If your religion demands that you smoke cigarettes at 6pm every day, then damnit screw your religion in public places. It comes at the cost of other people's rights to breath fresh air. If your religion demands that my mom wears a hijab in public, then screw your religion in public places. If your religion demands that I have to listen to you screaming your ass off at 6AM, calling people to "prayer", then screw your religion. If your religion demands you sacrifice dog puppies to your God, then screw your religion. If your religion alows you to marry 9 year old girls, then screw your religion. This isn't "forcing my way of life on you." This is ensuring YOU do not FORCE YOUR WAYS on me. This is ensuring fundamental individual freedoms for EVERYONE. Sassun, you don't fully understand my system. Under my system, you are FREE to worship your Allah in any way you choose. The beauty of it is that I am not tied to it in any way. I know that makes you unhappy but that is the ONLY way we can coexist. Label it in any way you want, but for you and I to coexist, that MUST be the way (no way around it).

That is no argument for or against the validity of the US Constitution. The foreign policy in the middle east adpoted by the US in the last 50 years was not something that was derived from its constitution. What brand is it? Sounds like the chipset is definitely on it's way out (maybe there is a short in it that causes it to overheat and shut down). I would not try the ice cube again as condensation might short out some connections ... First thing I would do is back everything up. Since it is under warranty, I would talk to their tech support (yes it is painful but at least you can then say you tried to contact them before it failed and they said it's ok to use it like that) .. this might be a common problem. If they say it's normal, then just keep runnig the PC until it dies then send it back I would not normally recommend intentionally damaging a PC, but it is obviously some fault of the chip if it gets that hot (software error should not cause that). Be careful of fires though .. are you sure this is not the recent "battery fire" problem? Is the area away from the battery? By the way, on my sony, the windows thing also tends to melt. I think they do that on purpose.

They are not assumptions. They are fundamental truths based on common sense. I am well aware you are going to disagree but that's why we could never coexist under the kinds of systems you value. Of course on the kinds of systems I value (ones that value the merits I just listed for you), we could both coexist very peacefully and even fruitfully. Perhaps you have a different background than I but I consider theoretical physics to be faaaaaaaaaaaar more intellectually challenging than computers or digital communication. But if you are going to bring up computers, I just don't see how you can declare Shannon as the genius of the century and leave out Alan Turing. As far as Einstein ... Well they do. They are firing rockets from backyards and completely blend in with the people. ... they hide among the regular people and it is a VERY well known fact that they had been arming the Lebanese side of the border very heavily (of course this became very obvious druing the last war ).
