quote:Originally posted by naira: Berj, Talking about "rabiz" Armenians, they came from Armenia. This "movement" was born in Soviet Armenia. And their behaviour reflects actualy (in part) the education, cultural atmosphere in the society of Soviet Armenians. This behaviour turned into a well-polished cliché of modern Armenian "neanderthal". Rabiz are mostly men who stood for "patriarchaism" and wiped out women issues from their family agenda's. Women was a possibility for them to be reproduced and take care of their well-being during their existence. I would say rabiz men are sort of "fundamentalist" armenian patriots, who beleive that being armenian stands for "being an armenian man" first of all and keep reproducing by all means. That's why for them actually the importance of male child is crucial. They areextremely unhappy when during their life, they didn't succeed to have a "son". I can't explain you what does mean "rabiz" for me, better than with this example of their "reproduction" dilema. I can't see a man giving so much importance to the birth of its "male child", be able to love a woman for what she is. Naira, I am from:Armenia for already 26 years. And some of my friends and relatives are "rabiz" as well. quote: That's why I call it sexual slavery. Because, most of women, who got married with "rabiz" idiots, are there only for one reason. Take care of their reproduction and well-being. ...and also these "rabiz" idiots constitute 90% of your motherlands army. quote: Berj, For me there is a huge difference between sexual games and sharing everyday life with somebody. I think sexual games in genre "La Maitresse et ses esclaves" are funny and delicious. And there are so many unexplored games yet to discover. Comparing these games with marriage to a "rabiz" guy are just a "bad taste". Well I forgot as well, to mention, another specific caracteristic of a "rabiz" guy it is his amount of "bad tastes". They are known to have plenty of them. I don't speak French but I can assure you (after studying this matter in Egyptian, Indian, Greek, Roman, Bysantian, Chinese, French history) there are no unexplored sexual games to be discovered unless the discovery is connected with the advance of modern technology (for example online sex). The man-type you call "rabiz" has existed thoughout history, exists now, and will exist in the future everywhere around the globe. And you don't have a right to call them idiots.

If nothing hampers the economic developent of Russia or China, which are on the way of becoming democracies (in 20 years or so), all those countries will get comparative freedom by natural course of events. Nobody will try to keep Chechnya in Russia, for example, if these nations have integrated economies.

quote:Originally posted by naira: Berj, That's smth surprising. I'm interested in knowing more! Where do you mean "rabiz" Armenian men are on the verge of becoming a major sexual attraction? Well Naira, You said: "So if you have decided to marry a "traditional" armenian man, called in ancient times "rabiz", profit from all men's experience before engaging yourself in a long-lasting sexual slavery." This implies that traditional Armenian men treat women like slaves, right? Taking into account that sexual slavery is a popular sex game in the West (I think you must be aware of this) I concluded that traditional Armenian men (who, as you have said, treat women like slaves) will enjoy popularity. I don't see anything surprising here...

quote:Originally posted by MJ: Berj, But when was the Armenian population of the Eastern provinces of Turkey subjected to extermination? For example, in the province of Erzrum? The chronology you referenced claims:"April - July MIDDLE EAST Turkish massacres of 800,000 (?) Armenians." Somehow it makes an impression that the Gencided was conducted in three months - April-July. It is a little bit arguable in my view. In fact (as much as my facts may be correct), a significant portion of the Armenian population of the eastern provinces was dealth with after the Russian retreat. MJ, I provided that link as a reference to what was Russia dealing with on the Western (European) battlefields when the Genocide started. Now, sinchronize that with the following: Genocide Map Genocide Cronology I take the cronology from the above link of US based ANI institute: ------------------------------------ 1916 (January-June) February 16-The Russian Army occupies Erzerum. April 15-The Russian Army occupies Trebizond 1916 (July-December) July 6-The Russian Army occupies Bayburt and Erzinjan. 1918 January 28 The German General Hans Friedrich von Seeckt, at the time Chief of Staff of the Turkish Army, is instructed to prevent Turkish atrocities against the Armenians of the Caucasus, since the Russian armies had fallen apart in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution and the Turks were advancing almost unopposed. --------------------------------- MJ, ...aftermath of the Russian Bolshevik Revolution. After coming to power in October 1917 the Bolsheviks were not giving any orders to the Czarist Army either on the Western front or in the Caucasus. Moreover they executed the leadership of the Czarist Army's General Staff which lead to the complete demoralisation of the troops, who walked home without any orders. And you're most correct in saying that "a significant portion of the Armenian population of the eastern provinces was dealt with after the Russian retreat".

quote:Originally posted by naira: So if you have decided to marry a "traditional" armenian man, called in ancient times "rabiz", profit from all men's experience before engaging yourself in a long-lasting sexual slavery. Sexual slavery is very popular king of sex in Europe and the US, so the traditional "rabiz" Armenian men are on the verge of becoming a major sexual attraction.

quote:Originally posted by MJ: Dear Naira, As to never abandoning Armenia, the Genocide of Armenia in the Eastern provinces of Anatolia has resulted from the abandonment of the Armenians by the Russians. There are very telling eyewitness accounts about this. WWI Cronology MJ, Please, visit the link above. Pay attention to what was Russia doing when the war started. The Russian army was in Van, Bitlis, Moush, Erzeroum in mid 1916. And it retreated in late 1917 after the Bolsheviks came to power.

quote:Originally posted by circassian: I want to be able to talk to an uzbek & tacik & kazakh & kirghis and turkmen without IVAN telling me that they are NOT REALLY TURKS. Circassians are also a component of this landscape as much as armenians are. All the way to china & bit more is actually turkish & if the conditions are right , armenians are there with the rest of us , what's the difference if IVAN stay's at home. Circassian, Tajiks are Indo-Europeans (especially the Pamirians), Kazakhstan has 60% Russian population, Kirgizs are more conserned with the Taliban offencive than the Turik solidarity, Turkmens are almost Persians and have lot of problems with Azeris. Acually, all this was cofirmed in the last CIS defence agreement meeting at Yerevan just 3 days ago. The Kazakh president even said that they're agaist Touran, without having any reason to state that. Only the Uzbeks were not present. You should have signed the quoted part "Zia Geok Alp" or "Doctor Nazim". And also, the Shanghai 5 is also dealing with the same issue, and these two structures can merge one day.

quote:Originally posted by Azat: Berj, This proves there was evolution... Azat, Your flattery towards the femails already looks and sounds kinda strange. Remember, maybe they'll talk to you, but they'll go to bed with the "monkey". So keep the "monkey" inside you alive. Just in case, you know.

After reading this last posting... If the ideas expressed above one day become an agenda in Turkish foreign policy, I want our (Armenia) border with Turkey closed down for an uncertain future. And the Georgian one as well...

It looks like the blockade of Armenia by Turkey has a reverse result.

quote:Originally posted by MJ: Berj, Just two comments: 1. Under proper administrative decisions, the software industry in Armenia may be elevated into a qualitatively much higher level in some 4-5 years, while producing significant results in the mean time; 2. The Central Asian Oil would be of interest to the US no matter what - if nothing else, at least so that to diversify the sources of supply, and not to be overly dependent on one source. But, in my view, it will depend on the progress in the political domain - primarily the improvement of American-Iranian relations, which would be very good for Armenia in a very big picture (It seems that improving the relations with Iran occupies a central role in the agenda of the current administration.) MJ, 1.Let's assume that Armenia will become a new Silicon Valley in 4-5 years... (the answer to why I don't believe that is in point 2). 2.Not to be dependent on 1 source. But US already has the Middle East, Venezuela, Nigeria ect. From the discussion in "Energy resources and regional geopolitics" I can see that it needs more and more. Central Asia is the last big oil field. And lot of developing countries need that oil, including Iran. What consequences will bring the imrovement of US-Iran relations? Will the US do it as a silk-revolution (which they cannot), or by simply saying "We like you". How are they going to make Iran, Turkey, Syria and Isreal to leave peacefully under their umbrella? If their push on Central Asia becomes too strong, Russia and China will oppose that by any means. This, and the decission to open the Alaska oil fields brings to conclusion that the US policy in the region is more adventurist than peaceful.

quote:Originally posted by Tornado: The source story about Azhidahak is rather unknown, many Iranians call Azhidahak as a 'Tazi' which is a bad name for Arabs, so at least if Azhidahak has not been an Arab, because at those times the Arabs lived much more southwarths, it is probable that the story is of Mesopotamian semitic origin. Tornado, The sorce of the story about Azgdahak, the last king of Marastan (or Media) is Ksenophon's "Kyuropaedia" (or "The deeds of Kyuros, the founder of Akhemenian dynasty of Persia). Kyuros was Azhdahak's (585-550 BC) commander, but was coming from the Farsy Akhemenian tribe. According to Ksnophon, Kyuros and Tigran Yervanduni (the son of the king of Armenia) have been teenage friends, and when Kyuros revolted against Azhdahak, Tirgan helped him. According to Khorentsi Tirgan Yervanduni killed Azhdahak in a battle. But what Armenian historians believe (the Ksenophones writing, becasue it is more factual, with dates and numbers) is that there had been an aliance between Armenia and Akhemenian Persia against Media. This is the source of Azhdahak's legend. Actually, Ksenophne lived in 5th century BC. He accompanied the Greek army when it came to help Kyuros the 2-nd agaist his brother Artaxerxes, and has written everything on the spot.

You can view this article at http://www.azg.am/index_tr.shtml The paper is online in 4 languages, including Turkish. *************************************** Genocide YES, 10,000 ARMENIANS WERE SLAUGHTERED Writes Turkish Milliyet online paper The head of Turkey’s History Research Institute Yusuf Halachoghli, investigating Ottoman archives, published a book on these days entitled “Armenian deportations and reality”, Turkish Milliyet newspaper’s web site informed on May 18. According to the book’s author, around 10,000 Armenians were really slaughtered, and the others were forces to leave the country. In Halachoghli’s opinion out of deported 438,758 Armenians 382,148 survived. The others died of hunger and illnesses. Of course the presented numbers of the Turk historian are amazing and far from truth. But the fact that the author of the book is Turkish official and published the book with the consent of the state gives us hope that Turks will by and by recognize all the truth. [ May 20, 2001: Message edited by: Berj ]

quote:Originally posted by Tornado: Dear Berj, Sanskrit is considered as the oldest Indo_European language, but the problem is that it is written much after it was once spoken, but the linguists all agree that Sanskrit had preserved more features of the proto_Indo_European than for example ancient Greek or Latin. Thank you for the info Tornado, Do you actually know which language was "Avesta" written in.

No MJ, Most of British detective stories start with "It was raining cats and dogs" and the American ones start with "It was raining heavily". I wanted to say: the "Impressons ..." is a big topic. Sorry, I didn't nake it clear.
-
Well, I told you God exists! MJ, you should start the story with: "It was raining cats and dogs". One more thing: This is a BIG topic, isn't it.
