  1. Sorry to change the lite mood - but Nairi's original post made me think of this piece I read in the paper today... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...ml?nav=hptoc_eo
  2. Wow - definatly some bargains...oh well - you'll find something to do with it I'm sure...actaully I'm looking for a system 9and possibly a laptop) for my mom - guess I better check these Dells out - eh? Thanks for the tip...

yah but unfortunately you also told us about the skinny-dipping part with the guys which I sooo wish you hadn't! Well, bruin, seems like we found your ideal man but too bad he's taken! Well - in my/our defense this is continuing a tradition (since our high school days) that had its origins and has been most practiced (over the years) in decidely mixed company..so we're pretty much used to it ever the years its no big deal (and none of my gay friends were around...not that it really would have made any difference...I mean - we were swimming...and besides I had my kids along and they quite enjoyed it...) In fact when I lived in LA and my friends (guy & gal) used to come out to visit - we would ussually manage to hit the various pools and falls up arounf MT Wilson - forgot their name - swallow falls (?) - don't remember...nude rock climbing as well as swimming...and always with a mixed company (though sometimes not all the gals were willing to doff all...) Yeah next time I'm in town we should all go up - you, bruin, Azat (he's a wild one - eh?) whoever else we can manage (more ladies the better...) what'dy'all say? LOL And yea, while I might be "taken" you never know...I might be able to convince the wife to rent me or something...LOL...in fact she might just say take him (though I think she would have great cause to regret any rash decisions of that sort...)...but I'm just an old fart remember...you young things are just going to have to figure it all out on your own...somehow...

Hey Bruin - thanks for the encouragement...now if I could only practice what I preach...actually I don't do too awfly bad...most of the time...though I imagine the wife sees it very much differently sometimes...LOL. I really don't have a good answer for you Bruin. But I'll take a stab...Seems like this guy is like many of us (me very much included). In fact it was my wife who basically made the first move (though I had certainly pursued her and asked her out etc), she initiated the marraige (I may have been happy to go on living together indefinatly...and I still take crap for not being romantic about it...you want us to get married...OK sure - sounds good...etc...LOL...oh and she did finally get a [real] ring...on our 5th wedding aniversary! LOL), and if it weren't for her pushing it we probalbly wouldn't have had kids (at least not when we did). Sure - I always liked the idea of having children...wanted to - in an abstract way...but when faced with the decision, which had been brought up a number of times from when we were married, I always said - i wasn't ready yet...LOL - in hindsight I really wish we had had them sooner (me eldest is 10 and youngest is now 7). But faced with this concept - children! eeek - when I still felt young and wanted to do things, didn't want to change/interrupt my routine etc...I always felt - not ready yet...well how wriong I was...and luckily my wife took the iniative and basically said - we're having them...and lucky for us - no problems - right away... So your friend - yeah he might theoretically want a family and such...but the reality of it (and all the great things about it) just isn't real to him yet. He is enjoying life and is probably terrified of any change. I don't know really - just my take for what its worth. Oh and Azat - few who know me would consider me "whipped" per se...though my wife is certainly a tough one in many respects. But I do get a lot of latiitude to do my own thing - more so then most guys (except perhaps the total shit types...)...but I do have a family and I do have responsibilities - etc - and my wife works just as I do - in fact we commute together. You might be amused that I do basically all the food and household shopping (incl clothes for the kids...well perhaps 1/2 of all), prepare most all dinners and meals, particiapte in all activities with the kids - take them to most of their various activities...and basically am involved in everthing around the house (do my share of cleaning & pick up and such, and all gardening/yard work)...and I still find time to get on this here ole web site and chat away with all you (and I basically drink 3-6 bottles of wine weekly, go out with the guys every now and then, race around in my various autos, do my thang)...what can I say - I'm just superdad! LOL...did I also tell you that I don't sleep much...LOL

OK Sip - yes...you have to be prepared to make some sacrifices..granted..and I hear you...as I very often feel constrainted by the wife & kids and related rountines...but I had my time - doing like you are - and loved it - and I'm loving this too. And its nort as if i have to give up everything....yeah MUCH Older my ass...maybe mentally...but you might be suprised...I'm pretty young minded in a lot of ways...and its not like you have to give everything up. For instance last week I was camping out and hanging out with a bunch of old high school friends - guys only...we drank heavily, played basketball, drove around, drank some more, skinny dipped in the creek (OK here is where I wish there had been some gals around...)...and had a great time...see life doesn't end when your married or in a relationship...and while relationships may not be all their is to life - granted - they are important to most people - and rightly so. You can be out having a blast all of your life - but it really doesn't mean so much in the end - what value do you have to anyone else? Sure you might not care - but I for one think that its at least a little important...

Stormy - agreed...and hang in there kiddo... Sip - have you ever had a romantic relationship before? (I mean besides with a Playboy?)...I mean the thrill of rock scaling - or whatever it is you do - can't even begin to compare...no way...i'll say that categorically. And then being able to pleasure another person...from the little giggles and shared intimacies, and giving little gifts that show you care, being there in time of need, and all the special moments...and then to inspire wanton animalistic passion, hearing her call out your name, beg for more etc etc...the whole gamut really....it can get no better...

Sip - if Al Bundy is your role model then I am truly sorry for you. Yeah - you can continue as a teenager your whole life - and thats OK i guess - but you are not growing as a person. The only way you can grow - emotinally and to some degree even intelecutally is to streach yourself a bit - and the best way to do this is by interacting with other people - and specifically through a relationship that will challange you about your basic assumptions about the way things are. i don't know if this makes any sense at all to you - and I am having a difficult time expressing it - but i know from my experieinces that every relationshiop i have been in has taught me so much - about myself - and just about life and things in general. Sure it isn't always easy - but the rewards are certainly worth it (and I'm not refereing to sex...but yeah...that too...certainly better then rubbing up against your truck...). And ultimatly of course a relationship might lead to a permenent commmitment and perhaps children...and there your perspective really changes....and really its what its all about in the end (though I think its perfectly legit to choose not to have children - either in a relationship or otherwise). But it is a major step from just thinking of yourself and your immediate needs and then having to think of your children and doing everything for them. Many folks - even those who have kids - can't make this transistion...and perhaps some go too far - live only for the kids...i think there is certainly a middle ground...just as in a relationship - not good if one neglects themselves just to cater to the other exclusively...ramble ramble...I guess I've made may pont...maybe...

Sip - sure - OK - I hear you...but just the same you are really missing out...I must say though - there is something (probably more for us guys) about driving...some powerful machine...in your case up and over a rock....in my case flying down the highway or on back road twisties at amazing speeds....yeah - a thrill...and quite satisfying...but can you really say that it tkes the place of a relationship and all that such entails? Perhaps it can/does for you (and increasingly for others as well) - but I think there is a problem with this...

OK vava - then perhaps I stand corrected. Congratulations on not being the typical male...I wish I could say the same for myself...I know that i am better (more aware/attentive etc) then the average...though certainly not without efort...and certainly not all the time...I'm as flawed as the next guy really...but at least i understand that...LOL

    Impressions Of The Day

vava - you are exhibiting the typical male attitude (me me me...its all about me...)- and its in serious error. It doesn't matter what seems logical or desireable to you - the issue is that you are now in a relationship - and a major - the major - factor in this is/should be being there for you significant other's needs - putting out just a bit - relaizing its not just about you exclusively.... And particualrly at the beginning of a relationship - communincation is a must. So many missed chances and misunderstandings are due to miscommunication. And guys who don't cater to their partners needs are not deserving of the loving attention that the gals always give back. Thats it - end of story. As for Stormy and her problem case...it seems to me that she has put forth all of the effort and he has just slid along taking it all in. If he can't adjust his routine and his ways one little bit now - at the very beginning of a relationship - there seems to be scant hope that he will pay you any mind in the future. I see a lot more heartache in your future with this guy...unless somehow this is all just a temporary abberation...possible. perhaps...but not likely...

I'm not sure I agree, nor would I likely buy your idea of sucess. Men do lots of stupid things, men are violent (for no good reason), and men don't look so good....(well besides maybe hagarag...LOL) And its really not a point with any meaning anyway. We cannot exist without the other. At the very least we need each other to procreate. And we are who we are - men are men and act as we do and vice versa - to a large degree - to be attractive/appealing to the opposite sex. So by definition we are simbiotic and each has formed the other. Its funny to me though that those female attributes/attractions that appeal to the male are much more inherently obvious (for the most part...and they are primarily visual...though certainly their are some cultural divergences...), but the opposite is also (for the most part) inherrently fuzzy/much less knowable...(at least to me). And this is further compounded by the phenomonon that I have very often seen - that of the gal frequently going for the "bad boy" type of guy who treats her poorly (duh)...anyway its clear that there are often differences between those who excite us and those we ultimatly may wish to settle down with. (I know that I have had some confusion in this regard in my past...)...but I see it often with gals that I know, who continually seem to hook up with guys who are just bad for them....anyway a bit of a tangent perhaps...

Hey Accel - first of all I have no real desire to pick any one up (I am happily married remember...and besides I'm not yet drunk...) LOL. (unlike you) I like girls - what can I say...and its fun to flirt around or what have you...no harm done...(hey give me a break - I'm an old man you know...let me have a little fun...) Secondly I really do object to your attitudes about women. I don't even know where to begin...clearly you do not appreciate at all: "Viva la difference" and this is quite sad...and so what if gals can't build a shelter or degrease an engine as well as the guys....so what? You know - Accel - its guys like you who perhaps should think about getting cozier with your like minded guy friends...I mean there are options there...and perhaps you might find them more enjoyable...no need to put up with the tenderness and sweetness and intoxicating luciousness of the female of the species...not to mention some just plain common sense and practicality that often is lacking in guys. Sure - I like hanging with the guys - enjoy it quite a bit - and I've certainly had plenty of heartache with the ladies...but...your kidding me aren't you? I mean, really now....
  14. Good Domino - you've had us worried fer sure....I don't wish to burst your bubble with objections however...so I won't...though I must say we are somewhat poor observers - no? More often then not - our observations reflect some fancy rather then any real note on reality...we have a very long ways to go I think....but perhaps this is why we must have children and attempt to teach them to be more scientific and open minded (and to procreate and do the same)...and as well to be good people and all of that....seems you had some issues with morality and such as well - not sure your observer theory takes that into account...and consider perhaps we (may just) exsit to spawn machine life - that will be more suited to the rigours of space...and more importantly...time...to enable the next step(s)...or perhaps we are but vessels for the bacteria supermind...etc etc...no one can really say for sure (or not) can they?
  15. Good work - as usual Domino...and again what an excellent site Virtual Ani is...hats off to its originator...I find that I consult it often. Who would have suspected it would have info on Igdir - of all places... These "so-called" educated turks are just a hoot. They cannot see past their own ignorance to realize that the more they trumpet such claims the poorer they look...

A post for all the gals - All- Please don't turn into men haters - hate the man - don't hate men...wer're really mostly just adorable little puppies thats all...with about as much brains and ambition (immediate gratification) - for the most part...we require training...(I'm just one of the lucky ones that got my training early...) Nairi - You rock gal! LOL Stormy - I know you can manage a better revenge for the deserving shit - don't be satisfied with a minor humiliation...(perhaps you can slip him a powerful laxitive at an inoportune moment...like when he is up in front of an audience or some such...) Hyebruin - Perhaps you should consider an older, more mature man!...serioulsy though - I am sorry that you have to put up with all the garbage...FYI - I don't like those kind of guys either...LOL (really though)...you relizethat now if we ever were to meet - I will feel obligated to give you a candid assessment (regarding those seemingly awe inspiring boobies of yours )...and I apoligize in advance for starring.

Hyebruin - jeesh....whats got into you? ...or maybe its been the opposite - eh? Been missing out on good loving - seems to me... Now obviously you have had some bad experiences of late - and I agree - a lot of and perhaps most guys fall into you negative categorization...still...its not all...really. I know that there are some good guys out there for you - don't give up. But also don't expect perfection - thats boring anyway. Everyone has flaws of some sort. But thats OK. As for the two women fantasy...well it is great fun...and who doesn't like being the center of (that kind of) attention...but actually its not something that I obsess on...and I'd really be surprised if most guys did - well in any kind of an active - before all else - kind of way. Believe me - there are many guys out there looking for a gal that they can be a man for - to do things with and for and devote themselves to. I'm sorry that you have been having bad experiences - but I can only suggest you look to different places then you have been and perhaps to different types of guys....dunnoh...anyway good luck and don't give up so easily... ...oh and glad that you are happy with your breasts - you should be. Too many gals are overly critical about their bodies - and their breasts specifically. I'm sure that they (yours) are wonderful

    Ak-mak

Yeah - I've been eating these for years and have turned many (non-Armenians) onto it. Just had some last night as a matter of fact (as I manned the Armenian booth and our kids school International Day festivities)! I also brought along a bunch of other stuff for the booth - incl flag, books/pamplets, art/ceramic work, dried apricots - etc....but for some reason they were'nt to keen on my giving out samples of Raki (at the elementary school...)!!!
  20. Were far beyond that already dear Khodja...so don't be thinking any improper thoughts now..ya'here...

    Impressions Of The Day

I say more power to them! They are young and having fun - and not being caught up concerned that they have to look like (robot) Britany or what have you to dress any way they like. I think its great - regardless of what they look like. I'd much rather see a gal expressing her self confidence (or just not caring what others think etc) then be so caught up in thinking that they must be a "10" or such in order to dress like they want. Too many people care too much about what other's think and are repressed and have issues because of these standards society sets - so I applaud those who can be more relaxed and enjoy - etc - does that make sense? And we shouldn't be so critical of others - I'm sure your not perfect accel...should others be critiquing you? Accept others as they are - don't just impose your arbitrary standards - we have quite enough of that already...

    Impressions Of The Day

Yes hyebruin it is a type of macular degeneration - and I have seen a specialist (whose patients included many pro sports figures...) about my condidtion. he said that it was very rare for someone my age - but it was likely brought on by a sports injury (remember that spiked volyball?)...but even at its worst he was reluctant to operate as he felt that as bad as it was surgery would only make it worse (unless it degenerated further). So we monitored my conditions for a few months - and lo and behold I basically got better (the blood vessels withdrew/withered)...my specialist said he had never seen such occur so dramatically - one in a million he said. Now thats been at least 6-7 years with only a very few instances of re-occurance (the vision issue - due to stress). So I have this hole right in the middle of my sight - but pretty much I don't notice it as my brain has corrected...

    Impressions Of The Day

Hyebruin - thanks for the niice advice - and yes - as you speak (I get those symptoms as well...) - but for me I also get a big blind spot right in the center of my vision. It is particularly an issue when driving at night...but hasn't occured for me for several years... Accel - noted - and without my glasses I am pretty much blind...but I can see/detect motion. I have demonstrated to folks that I can drive this way! (on a limited basis)...I explain that I use my ESP instead of physical vision...and in fact there is perhaps something to this...I am also very good (sometimes uncannily) at predicting when a cop will appear around a bend or over a hill or just driving by - etc...I don't even use a radar detector or such...
  25. Understood - but we still don't know what gravity this dark matter (or other forces) is/are imposing...but this collapse thing seems difficult to concieve -as you have said - everything is still accelerating from each other. And since we have no perception of or understanding of these possible other dimensions or universes is seems fdifficult to speculate. Obviously the exsistanc eof such will put many of our thero\ies/understandings in serious doubt - so who is to say... Also - when you say "we will have to wait...to see"...etc - well i don't really suppose we will still be around...no?
