  2. thanks is storming in Turkey or US or some other country, just curious.
  3. what's a dogsbody? I never worked anywhere where somebody supposed to serve coffee for me
  4. somehow i don't trust the Russian news sources too much, they tend to fabricate or rather exaggerate things to spin things around v polzy rossii. Their press sucks!
  5. I think she desperately wants to move to US and will do anything for that, I think she is probably faking this love and when she gets here she will divorce you. Also, do you know that the Armenian community will NOT accept this so you basically have to live an isolated life.
  6. sorry but i don't think you are armenian and this post is sincere, good luck!
  7. Aratta jan, chap@ hech chanstar...thank you for your honest opinion.
  8. Also her full name is not Zaruhi but Zarifa
  9. no Aratta, I know for sure she is not, she is Assyrian or Kurdish.
  10. Hi Lizchater, you might also consider including Dhaka, Bangladesh. There is an Armenian church in Old City Dhaka where the Armenian community of merchants lived back in the days, now there is one or two Armenians left to look over this church, there are graveyards I believe in the courtyard of this church also. I will google and include this youtube video that some American tourist took of this church. Good luck with your research.
  11. Shahan, and most other countries there are NO PAYCHECKS to live from, I think this is the fundamental difference
  12. well, so can men be in self-denial of their attraction or find it weak to express it to somebody who has been their "friend"?
  13. Domino jan, this was a good and funny point, but perhaps true for 18 year olds, I think when you;re in late twenties it's way easier to control your touching urges. I do agree with the hair thing, that might be an indicator
  14. Domino, I think I should have called this thread "can men really be in a platonic relationship?" I think most of the time there is some attraction, specially when you're spending several hours a day "hanging out" with that person.
  15. Hi Anahid Takuhi, I agree when one develops feelings, it's best to somehow cut the friendship, otherwise every time you see him/her it will be right there in front of you, torturing you...
  16. Hello everyone, I am Kakachik, been here long time but don't quite start many new topics. In any case, based on a recent personal experience of course, I started wondering about these "platonic friendships" between a man and a woman. Are we attracted to each other perhaps on an unconscious level but don't quite realize it on a conscious level? Are we playing games? Is it ok when a one of the partners starts developing feelings? How do one go from a "platonic relationship" to a real one? Is it possible? I know life's answers are way more complicated than my simple questions here but I would be more than happy to hear both male and female opinions. Cheers!
  17. I think what we mean by traditional wedding is in fact "the americanized version" of the real thing. I am sure there were no limos involved in the traditiona weddings nor $5,000 bride's gown or Armani suits for men, nor expensive honeymoon packages. So why even call this a traditional wedding I don't know.
  18. DeLaLa, that's a typical turkish argument, the issue here not whether that claim is right or wrong but just the mentality that you use to approach this problem. What is 'YOUR IDEAL' policy solution for Armenia to pursue, I am really curious to know, particularly relating to the genocide and Karabagh settlement?

  20. Edo btw pronounced not "eedo" as americans tend to say it but as "edo" more like armenians pronounce the first name "Edo"
  21. Anaitka, what is your assessment of Armenians living in Moscow. You read so many sad stories about killings, police harassments, blatant racism, xenophobic feelings directed towards the so-called minorities. I personally don't know if I could ever tolerate living in a society full of so much hatred towards me and my people. But it would be great to hear your assessment about this. Do Armenians have a serious future in Russia or we're just there until they kick us out? Thank you!
  22. can you imagine if you were born of Jewish parents in Armenia, grew up there and immigrated here after 1990s :D
  23. for those who fret that the Armenian youth has gone mad...I do agree there is terrible racial profiling by GPD (aka Nazis) from this source: http://www.onlinelawyersource.com/criminal...r-accident.html Hit and Run Car Accident A hit and run car accident can be a devastating event for the victims of these crimes. National government statistics indicate that approximately eleven percent of all vehicle accidents are hit and run car accidents. This equates to nearly 700,000 hit and run car accident cases each year in the United States. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the hit and run car accident rate has increased by fifteen percent since 1998 nationwide. In some states, like California, the rate of increase for hit and run car accident cases is even greater.
  24. that's the point, a lot of this is in his own head
