Therefore I would in no way encourage you to change it, but if you do I will no longer force myself to divert my stare away from it. If we wanted to make everyone happy we would end up being miserable ourselves. Although I do believe that there should be a difference between a very strong and meaningful principle and a meaningless rebellion. As for the complains in this thread, I don't understand the huffiness. This forum is the best one by far and mods are doing a helluva job, although I don't agree with their last decision and am very displeased. This is not a private circle, just like in life, social environments encompass many different personalities, which makes it interesting and inspires many of us to return. If the movie consisted of characters which were one dimensional and identical I doubt many of us would be interesting in seing it. You need a variety. Social circles are composed of stock characters: the controversial one, the pest, the sweet one, the opinionated, the clown, the brain... and so one. Take away that and you have a an entity as boring as a Football Jock. The brilliance of this forum is that it is fractured in many different topic areas, catering to each interest. So if you don't favor toilet humor, there is no need to click on links that are in the Humor section entitled “Dandruff...a great way to make a snowman without using snow.” If you don't like essays, don't click on the links that suggest such content. I am sorry I don't understand how difficult of a logic it is to comprehend! Not everything revolves around the wants and needs of one individual that is why it's important to share the space. So stop the whining, and appreciate others for each unique contribution to the palette of fascinating characters, otherwise it will turn into a monotone. Actually Eve, thank you for your comments. You are right as usual, at least on the most part. Members are certainly free to choose the types of threads in which they participate. And by all means, we encourage people to show their diversity - that's why there are specific sections for Humour, and others for more serious issues like genocide discussion. The problems arise when people don't think/pay attention as to what they're posting, and where. It certainly IS important to share the space. Some of the comments we've received are that some people tend to bring their 'personalilty' everywhere - and this all at once, in essence, not sharing the space at all. Now, I'm not referring to a specific incident, just the general situation recently. I think though, on the whole, that we have an excellent group of people here - and that, like all societies, things evolve. Our job, as moderators, and as members, is to try and ensure that things evolve for the better. We all have a part to play, and we must play together (aside - and unfortunately, that isn't exactly a strong trait in Armenians.) Anyway that's all for my rant - please if anyone has any specific comments about anything, feel free to PM myself, or one of the other Mods...
