kakachik77
Kakachik, I really like the colors of your avatar. Who's the painter? Thanks! style_images/master/snapback.png thanks Siamanto, I love his works. FRIEDENSREICH HUNDERTWASSER (1928-2000), Austrian painter and architect (has been inspired by Gaudi). I did take a quick look at both paintings, buildings and ideas: I liked what I have seen. I'll try to learn more this weekend! It's a discovery that may grow with me! Thanks! Artsakh
The question being asked is very difficult. God is the creator of all life. Armenia is the creator of all Armenians. God has his place in the hearts of every Armenian and every good Christian. Armenia has her place in the hearts of every Armenian. These 2 are truly unrelated concepts, neither one can be given priority over the other.
Arvestaked
God does not have a place in the heart of every Armenian.
Nakharar
thanks Siamanto, I love his works. FRIEDENSREICH HUNDERTWASSER (1928-2000), Austrian painter and architect (has been inspired by Gaudi). style_images/master/snapback.png You can actually buy a flat in one of his buildings. Except that they are not very conventional to live in and I won't even mention the price.
Artaxias
Hmm... I didn't know. Are you aware that you are spelling it wrong? I suspect you might pronounce it without an "H" as French people do, but spell you must with and "H" style_images/master/snapback.png The only proper spelling is Hayq
Arpa
I refuse to vote since I don't know which god (lower case G) we are talking about. Is it god as in Allah, Jehovah, Astuats or the host of hundreds of other minor and major gods?
Nakharar
Check this out: Godchecker is 100% non-denominational. All Gods are welcome, whether Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Slavonic, or of No Fixed Abode. Polytheism is much more fun than monotonous monotheism. The Gods are queuing up to get in! And Terry Pratchett fans, Tolkien afficiandos, Douglas Adams devotees and Harry Potter nuts will love our selection of Goddities! The Godchecker database aims to cover all Gods of mythology, literature and legend. Pagan culture is covered with Celtic deities and more Earth Mother Goddesses than you can shake a willow stick at. And if you're seeking knowledge, wealth or immortality, you may pick up some tips. Our current research has led to some very promising ideas involving snails, beetroot and cunningly-shaped sticks... http://www.godchecker.com
Arpa
In fact I did see that site but I chose to not include.; http://www.godchecker.com Nakharar, you are a man (person) after my heart, an independent thinker. One time, at church, during a commemration of Vardanants where I was a featured speaker, the minister in her (yes, her) offertory invoked the gods of Abraham, Moses, David and [(Ariel)Sharon]. At the end of the service i approached her and whispered in her ear that; "I felt like being in a Synagogue, and that I would rather be in a Christian Armenian Church", she understood and kind of apologized. When will we rediscover Astuats and and send that Jehovah back to hell where he came from? armenia(lower case A) is the Garden of Eden, we did not even know about hell until that goddamn "book" . Siamanto
Sasun, The only way you can make me put God before Armenia is to formally declare Armen as the only and Supreme God!
Sasun
Sasun, The only way you can make me put God before Armenia is to formally declare Armen as the only and Supreme God! style_images/master/snapback.png It has been prophesized that Armen will be president of Armenia (see here http://hyeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=10...ndpost&p=134909 ). Let's not overburden him with extra responsibilities of governing the universe. It maybe easier that you rethink your priorities

It maybe easier that you rethink your priorities style_images/master/snapback.png Sasun, Consider all the benefits of having the President of Armenia assuming the role of God! In case, he does not perform and is not as productive as expected, we can always fire him! It is true that both roles are of utmost importance; but, let's not forget that Presidents are elected by the People and Gods are created by Humans! ED
if it was not for Humans, and Thank God for it, God would've never been founded, does this make any sence? Edited January 30, 2005 by Edward

You are a typical human Siamanto style_images/master/snapback.png Did I become a "typical human?" What's happening to me? I should definitely do something about it! God, please help me! How can I forget something that I didn't know? style_images/master/snapback.png How can you tell whether you knew or not what you have forgotten: it could have been totally erased from your memory? I hear you as saying: 1- God is created by Humans 2- God is important ("Thank God for it.") I agree! But I also believe that some can survive without God, yet be more "giving" and in "harmony" with others than those who believe in - or fear - God! Who says exceptions, says individuals, not collectivities. In other words, it is extremely unlikely - if not impossible - that a Nation or a country can become an exception! Yes a Nation/collectivity needs faith in order to function in harmony and have a purpose/goal. Individuals - exceptionally - may survive without God! Of course, it does not mean negation or disrespect of God and/or those who believe in God!

ED
Are you familiar with the concepts of "passive and active nihilism" in Nietzsche? It's about faith and loss of faith! style_images/master/snapback.png If Nietzsche were to lived in our times he might have had a deferent view on religion, his stand/hatred on religion/Christianity was mostly due to the fact that Nietzsche was a suppressed homosexual, however I have read most of his works, I have to go back and refresh my memory on that particular subject. i enjoyed very much "beyond the good and evil"
