Dave
I don't remember if this was posted here before, but anyway, watch the video clip. Dave
That is great, I would have wanted to meet them too. I have a carved version of the ARF zinanshan, made by Raffi in 1985 (carved on a bronze paper). Edited March 29, 2007 by Dave

MadArmo
Fedayees my foot. They killed one security guard. They got what they deserved. If the security guard was a Turd great ! Offcourse fedayee with misson complete... If they brought attention to a worthy cause by means of terror it was a success. We no longer take the path of terror nor require to forward our agenda, However every success story has just such examples! Israelies or Jews also used Terrorism to gain their independence during the 40's ... So, did the french, Partisan warfare under occupation of foriegn forces... We have a legimate gripe agaist the Turds and it's our turn to eradicate the myths of Osmanli empire, To this day denial fuels every Armenian to keep the fire alive only to remind us what will happen if we ever make a mistake to that caliber then we are doomed. So, We are unison Turkesh step back and forget panturanism or the wrath of Armenians awaits you and there won't me merci on our minds just vengence. Strange how we manage to hold a artificial nation of pigs who's numbers well over 70 million at ransom !? I guess your forfathers were right on the money a single Armenian can rule 13 Turks with the left hand... imagine what Armen can do with the right . Go, forward or get blasted back to Mongolia ! Armenians answer the call !

Takoush
Remember Aubepine; I am a live proof of the Turkish Genocide against our nation. Remember? I have told you earlier that not only most of my family were annihilated but most of my/our nationality. Don't forget that the Turkish government has been paying mega monies to American congressman to pass their agenda, which is to deny for 92 years now the Turkish Genocide that they have committed against our nation. The Turkish government is in an act of denial for years now and that's the biggest insult you could give to our million and a half annihilated human beings who died in the most horrible death and torture that was committed in the most inhumanly barbaric way. I completely understand you. What has happened to your family and your nation is inexcusable and I will be the last person to ever question that. I can somewhat understand those who killed Cemal and Talat and that Grand Vizier etc. In most cases they directly witnessed the slaughter of their family members. They were first-degree victims who meted out punishment to first-degree murderers. But this is different. Those "fedayees" (more like Terrorists) in the seventies and eighties were twice removed in terms of generation from those events and the people whom they murdered were totally innocent. There are no ifs here. Remember, that could have been someone's father. Edited March 29, 2007 by Aubépine

Boghos
I think the issue of Armenian "revolutionary" organizations, actually more appropriately defined as small terrorist cells influenced by the environment in Europe and the Middle East at the time, is a complex one and cannot be properly analyzed in a few paragraphs. I just don´t buy the argument that they brought the Armenian Genocide to the forefront. This is wishful thinking or worse by those those that feel some strange pride from the actions of these mostly poor kids that were misled by semi-criminals in revolutionary travesty. You don´t have to read much to understand that.Monte´s brother book is a good beginning. gamavor
Stormig, your comment has nothing to do with what we are talking here. My point is that if you get the benefits of serving or be enrolled in institution that is not very reputable, you have to be prepared to bare the consequences of your choice. Sure, I would love to have a diplomat salary and privileges, but would a moral person do this, knowing damn well that he is serving the wrong government? zurderer
but would a moral person do this, knowing damn well that he is serving the wrong government? haha that is called nationalism. To serve a nation, even It is wrong. Sorry my friend but as an armenia nationalist, you should understand this. You are protecting a terrorist. gamavor
Is that a display of asiatic thinking? I wouldn't serve the Armenian government if it is reactionist (communist and/or fascist) simply because I'm nationalist!
phantom22
The two Sassounian brothers operated in different ways. I ask you who has been more successful in bringing the Armenian Cause into world consciousness, the brother who shot the Turkish ambassador outside my door or the journalist who has made waves? "The pen is mightier than the sword!!" Fedayees my foot. They killed one security guard. They got what they deserved.

vava
I don't really like where this conversation is going. Terrorism (defined as the harming of innocents for the purposes of intimidation, coercion, or simply to draw attention to a cause or political ideal) cannot ever justified. There are other means to achieve the desired outcomes - most of which don't involve the deaths of parties that are not directly implicated in the conflict. Was the guard an innocent, some have asked.... well, his only crime was to take a job as a security for a foreign embassy. Poor guy probably didn't even know what an Armenian was.... This kind of terrorism does a disservice to genocide recognition movements worldwide, and enforces the Turkish propagandists viewpoint of Armenians as barbaric terrorists. It was not productive, in fact, it was arguably a setback.
