A Us Citizen Needed!

Artsakh, the fact is that even the poorest people here have it MUCH better than the average people in a LOT of other places. I have never been to Armenia so I can't speak about Armenia per se. But having 3 siblings one in Stanford, one in Berkeley, and one in UCLA and then claiming you can't live here in "luxury" doesn't exactly add up.

There are sooo many people in the world just DREAMING of the chance to go to even just a community college here in the US and working in McDonalds and would consider that faaaaaaaar more luxurious than their wildest dreams. Yet you sit in Kerchoff patio sipping on your iced cap royale and want to proclaim they can't expect to have "luxury" here in the US? Do you even have the remotest idea where and what they are coming from?

COME ON NOW!

You're not getting me. America is indeed the land of opportunity, there's no question about that. However, in the case of those who want to immigrate here, 9 out of 10 is that they have convinced themselves "my future is abroad." The fact is, anywhere is this world, if you're a worker, then you'll find some kind of work no matter where you are. Let me give you the example of my stupid relatives. They had their own business back in Armenia. One portion of their family remained back home, and the other came here to the US. Guess what? money is coming from Armenia to take care of these idiots who were perfectly well off back home. I do not condone or support this type of mentality. It is ludacris. I mean if its someone who has nothing to eat at all, in that case I am not against them coming to the US. But the last time I was in Armenia, people were quite fat. I'm not saying everyone is perfectly well off, but they complain too much. I am certain if they put all that energy into applying themselves instead of complaining, they would get somewhere.

Show me one single word of advertisement in this thread and I will not call you a lier!!!

And please consider some changes in your life, your agression makes me pity you.

I'm sorry to sound like a "jack ass" sister, but my aggression is not aimed at you as an individual, but at your ideology. Perhaps my response was needlessly too harsh, but in any manner I do not condone such mentality.

I have a sister who has graduated from Stanford, another sister currently attending uc berkeley, and I'm a bruin. So whats that got to do with anything? You are an irrelevant individual.

I'm sorry you didn't understand my message. I was merely pointing to the fact that if you think you or your sister or whom ever is going to come here and live in luxury, you are in a great dillusion.

and my offer still stands. I'm prepared to help out your sisters transition by offering her this employment position.

You 'll have to continue doing that job yourself. Don't judge out of your own experience: I don't want to disappoint you but not everyone who comes to US does these dirty jobs. I have been in Los Angeles for a couple of years now and I am already an instructor at a private school, where I teach Russian. Btw, my sister also gets a pedagogycal education currently, so maybe she'll meet you at one of those schools...in toilet.

You need some education, which is even more obvious from your posts. Taking this into consideration I highly recommend you to make some effort, spend a couple of more hours)) and read the whole thread: maybe you will understand that I am not concerned about living a luxurious life; the goal is to be with my FAMILY.

I refuse to remain on the same territory, even virtual, with such dregs of society who, as it has always been historically, hide their turkish-azeri-like soul behind claims about having something in common with Artsakh.

Thanks others for best wishes and support.

I'd rather not get into details on here but I owe the court about $24k and until then, they've seized and frozen my passport.

Maybe somebody with a sister might want to work out a deal?

i have a question for you, everytime i hear someone has gone to trial, i ask them what happened and they always say i don't want to get into details.

if a trial is over, is there a law prohibiting you to talk about what happened? why? Isn't every trail in public records? I understand that you prefer not to go into details, but i was just wondering?

thanks,

Yes, I was asking that myself. ;) Strange that these armchair pundits don't drop everything and move to Armenia. Please save us the excuses.

I thought you loved gossip.

drama is just as good, escpessialy when the gossip is about drama :msn-cry: :) - did that make sense?

Speaking of moving, I have decided to move back into my mothers womb. It was nice and cosy there, I was always well fed and didnt have to work, socialise or go to the toilet. In fact I didnt have to move much at all and could save all my energy on inflating my ego.

There is nothing legally keeping me from discussing the matter.

I just personally didn't want to get into the details of my situation because it involves family members.

Sigh, we still don't know what this girl looks like. ;)

Voroshel ei el chgrel, bayc chem karogh.

Emil jan, erevi parz chem grel? The girl has nothing to do with this thread. As the first post says, I am looking for a man (40-50 years old) who is planning to go to Armenia in near future and can marry a woman there, not girl. I hope everything is clear now.

Sorry can't be of any help, not old enough for a 40y old woman ;)

But i doubt that this kind of "arranged marriage" could really lead to happiness.. But i am not here to judge. I still wish you all the luck :)

As for the case about people leaving, i understand that poor armenians would want to leave. But who says it could be better outside? the grass is never greener elsewhere.

The country is developping fast, why not try to ride the wave instead of trying our luck outside which in most cases lead to nothing..

And please do not blame the armenians living outside.. Most of us never had the choice. And i myself, working in the UAE, having a very confortable and cosy life here, with my french passport and diplomas opening doors to Europe.. Well i just decided i'd rather leave everything and go try my luck in my own homeland, and help my own people. I feel optimistic about Armenia's Future and i would like to be there the day we proudly say.. "We made it".

Next summer i'll pack my stuff, and i wish more armenians would do the same. We are lucky we live a confortable life, let's make good use of this money we have and spend it on our land instead of feeding others who don't give a *poop* about us. :D

Arvestaked, it is really easy for us to criticize them while we live a fairly comfortable life here. But believe me I do not blame ANYONE who leaves the country as it is VERY hard and we all live only once and why should you and I drive a nice car, live in a nice house, eat good food and they suffer?

Unfortunately you are right. and i can't argue against you, but why are we here and some of our families there? I dont' know about you, I would rather spend my life alone here and try to work hard and make my family live there happy and with dignity and pride of armenianism, after all i would rather rase my kids there than here. I don't mind supporting the few families of mine that ask for help to just keep them in Armenia. our armenians lack the spirit of businessman, we only think about living happy, driving the nice care and eating the good food and putting those gold rings in our hands. well if you can live with the fact that your ian, yan will vanish with the years passing then go for it and change it right now and God help you earn those millions, but most of us rather keep that little dignity of being armenian that is left to us. We have been torchured all along our history and in no time we had said enough, well i guess we have to stand up now even though its late but with the little population we have we still don't mind proving ourselves and the only way to do that is to have our population not leave our mother land.

???

if worth noting, would you explain the differences you are trying to bring attention to between ian & yan?

not quite sure why you think one is more privelaged than the other, but i may have misunderstood.
