sarsher101 Posted November 24, 2005 Report Share Posted November 24, 2005 i think everyone is free to date who they want, but maybe we should consider changing our last names before we start thinking of dating other cultures. not because we are supposed to date armenians purly but voxpam en azkin vor irants axchignere chen gardsum irants dgheke laven date anelu namar. besides no way in any culture that couples match if they are mixed from 2 different cultures specially if the cultures have opposite or different views about life. it is related to religion, language of communication, be open minded to other cultures but build your families based on your culture, if you can marry someone whome you can convert to armenian i am all for it because i'm just as good as an american because i speak their language and abide by their laws in the country, therefore, an american speaking armenian and abiding by my cultures traditions is just as good of an armenian as i am. for those who try to make a joke of this matter, it is nice to joke about problems but really think deeply and try to answer the matter seriously and post it in a way that relates to specially our teenagers, youngsters who grow up ignoring the importance of our cultures traditions. He's got a lot of imagination because he's a poet and sometimes he's smart ass because he is quite smart. So probably he was making a smart ass comment. He's not a bad guy; he's actually I heard is a very good and a sweet guy, and he's quite young too. So don't take it to heart, he didn't mean it at all!!! The other thing about Armenian guys. Some can be domineering at times yes; but a smart woman can change that by giving them a lot of love, (BUT NOT YELLING AND NOT NAGGING), and sweetly and yes in a caring and loving way you can make them see your way.
