I drove from Wisconsin to the western tip of North Carolina last year around April for a couple of days .. It is absolutely gorgeous over there. I made it as far east as Lake Chatuge that's kinda right there by Tennessee and Georgia. If I had the chance, I'd love to go explore that area more. But most of that trip I spent in Tennessee (i.e. Nashville). As far as San Francisco, I could certainly do without it ... it's NOT one of my favorite places ... I don't say this too often about too many places but I think I can comfortably say, among all the places I have been so far in my life, I hate San Francisco the most (among places in the US -- obviously I would still take San Francisco over many other places in the world ).
  2. Will be interesting too see how much "evidence" still remains after the weather "improves"

    Is Mba Worth It?

I was going to get a Mensa membership, but decided to get one at Costco instead. It was a lot easier and saves me more money in the long run.
  4. Unless it is totaled in an accident or completely rusts through ... but I don't plan to ever sell or get rid of it unless I have no other choice (like if I end up having to move to a different country or something and can no longer keep the car).

    Forum Help.

Yah I've run a few (some for friends etc) ... but the main one I set up for myself and my friends to share all the crap we send each other (no more emails) and also when we are planning trips and get togethers and stuff. We started as a yahoo group many many years ago but then at some point switched to a little forum.

    Is Mba Worth It?

If you have an MBA from a top school, it is definitely VERY much in demand and very worth it. But it is not easy to get into the top places and furthermore, it's not really cheap, and most importantly, it takes a lot of effort to actually succeed Much like any other degree, it is a degree and it's always better to have it than not to have it But it really depends on what kind of career you have in mind and what are your goals. I am for example, personally a lot more technically and scientifically oriented than managemently (omg what a horribly sentence). So even though I had a choice to pursue MS in CS and MBA at the same time, I chose to focus a lot more on the CS and engineering aspects rather than going after polishing my managerial skills (so CS MS lasted me a year rather than 3 years for MS + MBA which allowed me more time to go in CS deeper). Overall, I am pretty satisfied with my choice and I don't regret a thing (other than wishing I had had a broader general education rather than focusing mainly on the CS+E specific topics as I did). But for someone else, it could be very different

I am definitely planning an extended camping/boating trip to Utah as I've done almost every year for the past 5-6 years now ... several smaller trips (hopefully with some offroading) into the Sierras now that I'm closer, and if I can convince my friends, maybe one or two camping trips with them in the deserts of CA. Last time we made the mistake of "camping" in one of the more civilized campgrounds (more like a hotel with no bed or walls really) in southern CA and we got in a lot of trouble with the rangers and the people around with "noise". Somehow people don't seem to appreciate blasting Tata and Harut at 4AM ... so the farther from civilization, the better! I am not a big fan of places outside of the US but I haven't ruled out a quick trip to Germany or Rome if I can find a good deal on tickets. Of course I would love a trip back to Maui too!!! Now only if I can convince Azat to take me with him the next time he goes.
  11. I don't understand ... what is the problem with eating "cloned" animal meat? What makes it different than "not cloned" animal meat? Also, what is "cloned" animal meat? Yervant, as far as "aging more quickly" .. I don't think our genes are altered by the genes of what we eat. At least I hope not or I'm going to evolve into a buffet soon
  12. Why would there be a need for another forum when there's Hyeforum?
  13. I use no-ip (no-ip.com) ... it's nothing special but it has worked fine for me (it's free).
  14. Hehe ... guilty as charged. But that's where the majority of the searchers will come from (at least for now).
  15. By the way, I met Yervant at a pharmacy the other day!
  16. I was just looking at it ... overall, it looks pretty cool! Here are my comments: 1. On the main page, there are 2 huge logos taking up the entire screen on my laptop ... I have to scroll down to see anything. I would say maybe keep the flash logo and a smaller version of the circular logo on one side of the screen. Or put the circular one lower on the page. 2. Nothing on the main page says anything about what this page is all about. I have no clue what your company does. There is a short sentence but it confuses more than helps! Also think how would someone end up on this page? I would put the list of services on this page. Then the complete list could be under the "services" page. 3. Your page titles are not set. For example the services page says "Tutorial" while some other ones just say "New Page". 4. A map or a link to a map for the address might be a cool feature and easy to do. 5. I don't understand the news page when I first go there. A more detailed descriptoin at the top about what it is all about will help a lot. Most importantly, what you have to ask yourself is what is the purpose of this website. Is it to provide support for existing customers, just be a yellow pages like "I exist" kind of thing, or something to attract new customers and services? Just by looking at the site, I can't answer the question. It seems to have contact info and some brief bullets about services but I'm not sure what that does for anyone. Maybe it's not something that I should be interested in ...
  17. I updated my post while you were replying. Basically my advice would be to not try to optimize your page for a search engine, but rather to try to optimize your site for your users. Keep it simple, keep it text based, and unless you are making an entertainment type site, keep in mind that people often come to a business site to find information rather than to be entertained or dazzled.
  18. If you want to be better ranked by Google, take a look at all the advice here. Most importantly, make sure your website is simple, clean, and doesn't use too many fancy features (stay away from overly complicated flash for example). Also, keep in mind that there may be a trick today to boost your ranking temporarily but more than likely, it will change tomorrow. Unless you are willing to always try to play this game of trying to stay ahead of the search engines, your best bet is to try to make a "good" site (the link above has a number of good suggestions and guidelines for that).

  23. Domino, why do you think everyone will answer logically? If nothing else, you proved these kinds of questions can show a lot about a person.
