i'm sorry people. but still i can't see Armenian in there. only first one means, like MJ mentioned, "with shoulder", but i don't think that's the case here. maybe i'm wrong. i don't know. MJ, you might be right. there could have been modified in some way. even if there are Armenian, they are in very heavy accent (Turkish probably). btw, both of my grand-fathers were from Garmuch (Karmuch). i'll write about its meaning shortly, after i ask couple of my relatives. Steve, you said many villeges date back to Urartian times. but i don't think their names would have survived that long. they would have been changed until 19-20 centuries.

i just heard on TV that Bridgette Bordo (excuse my spelling) wrote a letter to Armenian Ambassator in France about this. she asked him to ask Armenian Government to stop this show. she is the head of some kind of animal protection project. btw, the same show (or very similar one) was going to take place in Moscow too. but they cancled it. Russian Orthodox Church protested, Bridgette wrote them letter too, and a lot of public protests took place.

as far as i can tell, they don't mean anything in Armenian. acctually, i could say for sure that they are not Armenian words. because they don't sound Armenian a bit.

one interesting thing about Ararat. i remember when i lived in Yerevan i used to see (not only me) strange lights on Ararat. they would strach horizontally aroud the mount. some people would say that is a military base. but i'm not sure whether to believe them or not. whatever it is, i think that is the reason why Turkish government doesn't allow to claim from that side. i think it has nothing to do with Armenian settlements or Noha's Arch, as many people say. does anybody know anything about those lights?

wow, this is acctually very surprising. do you people remember how they refused another Armenian group last year? and they were going to claimb from Western side. the leader of the group was Paruyr Hayrikian. i wonder why they invite Armenians now.

hah, acctually this is very interesting. i think i used to think only in Armenian until very recently. i also has to do with the content of my thought. in general: 65% Armenian 25% English 18% Russian 1% French 1% Spanish (when a hot girl passes by i think "ay chuvava". that's all) 95% of my dreams are in Armenian. the rest are in English or Russian depending who comes to visit me in my dreams. of course if i see hot girl in my dream i start dreaming in Spanish.

Aghchik, i just have one suggestion for you. don't try to jump to vocab. first start with grammer, so you can speak correctly. otherwise it would be so hard to change the way you learned. then words would come automatically as you use the language. this is from my own experience. i've learned three languages. at least i hope i did.

i'm just curious about something. can we judge cultures based on the contents of their "Aratsner" or "Asatsvatskner"??? consider this. "ush lini, nush lini" (Armenian) "naghd olsun, soghan olsun" (Turkish) can this be evidence that those two cultures view life differently???
