i've moved from Armenia 2.5 years ago and i really want to know what's the life of teenagers like in Armenia? i want to know what kind of music they listen to? what kind of dresses they prefer? what believes they have? and so on....... i have couple of friends on net. but they go on internet so rarly that we don't have the chance to exchange much info. thanx for your contribution.

i would if i had any info on it. but, sorry, i have no idea. don't lose your hopes, someone will answer soon.

iiiiiisss: ME! juuuuust kidding. i wander why is this section ( i don't know how you call it) so small? don't we have famous people? also one more thing, did you notice that almost 90% (maybe more, i did't count) of those whom you mantioned here were born or at least lived and made their careers outside of Armenia? what's the problem (if you see any)?

i don't know whether this is 100% true or not but i have read somewhere that The first Republic of Armenia (1918) was the first country to allow its women citizens to vote. does anybody know more about this?

well,well. even though Armenians didn't have independence for most of their history, they always lived in the area Greater Haik. whoever ruled over Armenians, they recognized the teritory as Land of Armenians, except those eastern people that immigrated in the middle ages. When i say Armenia i always imagine the Greater Haik, which included most of the eastern turky, south-western azerbajan, southern georgia, northern iran, and a little parts from northern iraq and syria. i don't know how others but i think and always will consider that area ARMENIA. even today, in this area (except) eastern turky) live great number of Armenians. i don't how much i'm correct but that's what i believe in.

you always think that somebody is Armenian then he must have lastname ending with ian/yan. what about other endings? (ouni, etsi, ents, etc.) of course those endings are very rare now but i think we should try to keep them. i personally think that we should have more diverse endings besides ian/yan. but there is one good point to it. having lastname ending with ian/yan makes it easier to be recognized as Armenian lastname outside Armenia.

As you know Gary Kasparov is half Armenian. why don't you mantion his name as a famous Armenian chess players? I don't know how much he cares about the fact that is he's half Armenian but I think you should be proud of him as well. [ April 05, 2001: Message edited by: HarutPakhanyan ]

I'm a Armenian club member at one high school in southern CA. we're going to have our t-shirt for the club and we can't decide what symbol or picture to have on it. can anyone give me a suggestion or a picture(or something like that) that we can use? thank you

I was going to post similar topic when i saw this. i really wander how come Armenians have so wide range of ethnical appearance? what's the reason for this? one more question: what are the real roots of Armenians? some say they are Middle Easterns (which i really don't believe), some say eorupeans, some say Coucausians( Kavkasians, I don't know the word in English )
