  6. quote:Originally posted by Ararat-73: Dear Harut, thank you for the compliments, but we can make this forum interesting by talking about interesting things. unfortunately, Armenia could'nt manage to score the smalest goal to earn 3 points in their match against Belarus. Let's not forget that 6 of the best players were absent. Only one will play the match against Poland the day after tomorrow. I'll be there and I hope "kherov parov glla votks". Tomorrow ther's a historical match in Yerewan: Ararat-73 veterans v/s Poland-74 (which arrived third on World Cup 1974). Nikita Simonian will be there. In fact I'm going to Armenia to see the veterans and Nikita Simonian (legendary trainor of Ararat-73). Let me finally tell you that I'll be the guest at an Armenian program "ges kisherayin Djebntats" with Arthur on wednesday, at 00:00 (midnight) (Yerevan Time). I'll talk about Ararat-73 and the Armenian football in Armenia and the world. Bravo Aharon, for your support to our soccer. unfortunatly you didn't bring a good news. what was the final score, 0-0? also, may i ask you what type of connections do you have with Ararat-73 guys? i mean, why did they invite you to a show? hope to hear from you soon. thanks

  8. quote:Originally posted by naira: "Armenia for Armenians" stuff folks always existed in Armenia, Harut. France is mine, Germany is mine, Russia is mine, Armenia is mine. Common now take this all from me, you dick-heads, skin-head! Do you understand what I mean, Harut. I sincerely hope you do. We have some little fascists in Armenia and that's a big victory. Arms will never be fascists. Remember this! Because there will be Armenians like me who will say to them "**** you! Armenia is for all" [ June 03, 2001: Message edited by: naira ] Armenia as an Armenian state won't survive if minorities are more then, let's say, 20%. being "papuk yeres" and bad politicians Armenians won't keep the power in their hands.

    Hayastan

quote:Originally posted by dragon: There is more and more...Barsgastan, Dajigistan, Ghazakhustan, Khurkhuzistan, Turkmenistan, Kurdistan etc... Well, stan is a ''masnig'' which shows the place where the ethnic groups sit, live, born and die. The ancient name of Armenia was Hayasa and by time it became Hayastan, where Hays (Hayer) exist. Hope you satisfied it doesn't only indicate a place where the ethnic groups sit, live, born and die, but also a place where there are many of something. for example, as i said above, tsarastan, karastan, and more.
  20. i haven't read all your postings but i'm going to say: why should we? as a democratic country we should express our feelings only and only when Turks go beyond the line and become cruel. [ June 01, 2001: Message edited by: Harut ]

    Hayastan

i know what word Karabagh mean. the question is why doesn't the government change it to Artsakh. being an Armenian state, having Armenian as official language, being based on Armenian culture, why do they use Karabagh when there is an Armenian version of it, Artsakh. Karabagh, actually Gharabagh, means Black (ghara) Garden (bagh). it's in Turkish. it became Artsax because there is no sound "gh" in Russian. As for "Hayastan" i would love to see it being called "Hayq", more Armenian word than Hayastan. hay - the name our nation q - is the suffix that makes the noun plural in old Armenian Hayq - Armenians i think 'stan' is not Armenian but is widly used in Armenian. besides country names there are also many other words that end in 'stan'. burastan, tsarastan, karastan,....... Hayastan

why are we calling our homeland Hayastan and not Hayk as before? i have a feeling that the ending "stan" is not Armenian. i know there are Armenian words with "stan", but still... Also, why didn't the government of Karabagh change the name of the country to Artsakh?
