    Muslim Armenian?

Out here, religious sects (like Jehova's Wittnesses or Raelians) are having some success because people don't really know about Christianity. How much did you know about it? Did you ever read the Bible, or any excerpts from it, before converting to Islam? And hey, Islam is not "one" as you say (why does it even matter if it is). Muslims aren't united, especially these days. Irar ge pezzegden gor.
  2. Yeah I agree. ALL of my cousins who live in Lebanon go to Armenian schools, except one. That one has graduated.
  3. It seems to me that they're altering all of the remaining Armenian elements of the region in order to satisfy their thirst for $$$. All that $$$ should be ours.
  4. Turkey appoints diplomats with Armenian language skill to countries with strong Armenian Diaspora [ 16 May 2007 20:09 ] Turkish Foreign Ministry will appoint diplomats who know Armenian language to diplomatic positions in the countries where Armenian Diaspora is strong. This step is taken for struggling against the so-called Armenian genocide claim, Diplomatic sources told the APA Turkish bureau. Chief of Foreign Ministry’s Armenian Office Suleyman Gokcha has been appointed to Turkish Embassy in US. Except Gokcha, three more Turkish diplomats speaking Armenian fluently have been appointed to positions in Turkish Consulates where Armenian Diaspora is strong. Following this, Turkish Foreign Ministry will continue to qualify diplomats speaking Armenian fluently. /APA/
  5. Some things never change...
  6. Duceppe apparently left the PQ leadership race. It might be because of a poll that appeared in a newspaper, saying that 45% of Quebecers want Pauline Marois whilst only 25% want Duceppe. He'll probably be ridiculed in the BQ... The end of his political career seems to be near for him. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...?hub=TopStories
  7. In 1980s, the sovereigntists lost with a difference of 20%. In 1995 they lost with a margin of barely 1%. Now they're only the third largest party in Quebec's national assembly probably because of an incompetent leader.
  8. It is good that it happened in the same day. After all, there's no difference between Nazis and Azeris! Hail the Armenian nation's victories!
  9. Western Armenian language should be protected and repatriated.

How about Mshag Panvor or Harach Nahadag?
  11. It's true. But it's funny that Canada criticizes Iran's enforcement of Islamic laws, whilst it imposes us peculiar laws as well. Either that, or separating Quebec from the rest of Canada.
  12. As if it wasn't already enough, Quebec's new language minister promises tough enforcement of language laws QUEBEC (CP) - There will be zero tolerance for any violations of Quebec's language laws, says the new minister responsible for enforcing the legislation. "The question of the French language, it's a priority for our government," said Christine St-Pierre, minister responsible for the Charter of the French Language. "It's also a priority for Premier (Jean) Charest. "There will be zero tolerance on questions of the French language. We will be present, we will monitor and we will apply the law." St-Pierre was responding to a question from Parti Quebecois member Pierre Curzi, who noted that Charest had said the government would be vigilant when it came to language matters. The Charter of the French Language - commonly known as Bill 101 - sets out regulations for the use of French in Quebec. St-Pierre said the government would promote high quality in spoken and written French in the province. "It is the language of Quebecers," she said. "It is the official language of Quebec." http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2007/05...4170489-cp.html
  13. Whether he will be good for us Armenians or not is debatable. Devedjian with him is clearly a plus though. But it is clear that he's another one of Bush's lapdogs.
  14. Even today, one can not find a lot of Armenian "Martin"s. Isn't it true that only Catholics were allowed to settle in the colonies? He must have been one.
  15. Were there any Armenians in North American colonies, i.e. the 13 Colonies, New France, etc.? If Armenians were known as good traders in Europe, they probably did something in North America as well.
  16. It is true that they should leave Turkey pronto. But we're not Bolsahye so we don't understand what goes around in their heads.
  17. It looks like it's a party that didn't end well: http://tinsohbeti.com/2007/05/03/moskvada-dava/ I guess those Azeri troublemakers got what they deserved. One of those videos is from an April 24 demonstration. I don't know what it has to do with the event in the university...
  18. They're trying to win the support of nearby Islamic Iran.

Of course... Imagine how unfair the world would have been today without socialism.

  21. In the 1040s the last 'king' of Bagratid Armenia back then was very young, and the Catholicos was pro-Byzantine. (I think.)
