Tigran, you gotta understand that that anti-assimiliatist model is mostly followed by Armenians who are descendants of genocide survivors. Armenia proper and the largest community of armenians today (2mil in Russia as you mentioned) does not follow this model, so don't worry...you are really dealing with a unique sample.

Tigranes, remember that you might try to raise your kid whoever you want, but that kid is going ot have his/her own mind, and one day he might as well choose to be a 100% armenian, or convert to budhism and forget his greek ancenstry and other ancesntries for good. Raising a child in Northern America is not as easy for any minority culture. So sorry, you can try but life will only show what can happen. In fact, if you insist your child not to follow a culture, then there is a big chance he/she will for sure. If you really dislike Armenians why waste time on them, move on and find a culture where people embrace you.
