angel4hope
EXACTLY danny boy---you hit the nail in the head! appres--that is what pisses me off the most, almost as if the gal is a piece of furniture thats being sold and theyre comeing to see the merchandise---how bout NO! How bout ask the girl out take her somewhere get to know her then if you like her personality and all and get to know her wel enough make it oficial or just go out more whatever the case-take into consideration that the girl is an individual and has a brain too and that the parents arent dictators-theyre human too........... BitterSweet
Why is it that Armenian elders think it's there responsibility to find a boyfriend/girlfriend for anyone who happens to be single? Just got a phone call from a strange guy. He saw my picture from this lady I've only seen once in my life. Anyone else had a similar problem like this? I do know what u mean... it's happened to me several times...my friends neighbor tried doing that, I've also had the "video experience" and someone who had seen me at my aunts house did the same.... and all of the times the guys mothers called my house and spoke to guess who... my mother. yes it's flattering, but at the same time it's annoying... just the idea of others getting in your personal business while YOU have no clue about what's happening is irritating. Azat
...when i found out they were comeing i left the house... Angel, that was very rude of you to leave the house when my parents and I were coming over. And I was shocked that you did not want to go out with me... :D Never had that, but for the last 8 years or so I have had constant pressure on me to get married. Maral
The least they can do is ask your permission before they show your picture around or give your number out, that's just not right and you have every reason to refuse.I'm sure the sons are pushed into it also,it's the mommies most of the time. My two cousins met their husbands through blind dates from family friends or relatives and they both turned out to be excellent relationships...they both lucked out BIG time. But like I said doing such a thing without your consent is wrong.
Dan
I'm sure the sons are pushed into it also,it's the mommies most of the time. Yes and no - at least the guy has a little bit more say in what he does... I mean, my mom tried to get a girl for me (lol), and uhhh, I just told her straight out to just cut that sh*t (excuse my language lol).. my mom tried to bring the girl to our home, the opposite of what angel4hope described lol... weird & freaky ... yes... Made me go --> I hate those parents who do that. they should look around them and get a hint that it's not the 18th century....

CheekY
yeah mothers push their sons...they fall in love with the girl and expect their sons to do the same and some guys are too dumb to find a girl so they ask their mommies to find one for them...
