  1. Hey guys, If I save a file like new.cpp in notepad, and then I go to a compiler and it says "file not found" what can that mean? g++ new.cpp or whaterver the case may be it still says "file not found". This has happened in the Microsoft SDK as well! Thanks!

    Writing

Hey guys, I was just thinking about writing (not that I've ever done it). To me it's interesting how someone can come up with a complex story, granted a lot of times it is based on some reality. Have any of you thought about it or done it (even as a hobby). I'm just interested to hear some opinions, challenges, etc. It could be anything. Novels, movie scripts, etc.
  4. Hey Sip, I take your silence means it was a really silly question and it's not possible. If so, you can tell me, I'm not sensitive But I still don't understand these dongle's that they are advertising with a range of a few km (or even 1 km). In some cases it would be a higher range than WiFi. I thought with bluetooth even 100-200m would be impossible. Is it just a case of plain false advertising?
  5. No It started out as a concern, then I got curious. These morons were trying to mess with me. They took my phone. I heard something about bluetooth and reading my texts. I was thinking they pared it, and since they have great range combined with a program like Bloover, anytime I'm within their huge radius they can extract my texts. I was ignorant to bluetooth, I don't remember if there was a device saved and maybe I erased it without realizing. Of course I did a bunch of googling, and I came across stuff like AirCable products, bluebugging, etc. What do you think of the above scenario from a technological point of view?
  6. Hey guys, Is it possible to extend blue tooth range hard core? I see products online (most notably from AirCable) that claim outrageaous distances. How about some of those homemade gadgets?
  7. This guy is starting to worry me. He has a big mouthpiece thru his column in Asbarez and he writes silly stuff. Just wait till Trump vs. Obama. Obviously he will support Obama, and many others on the premise that "he/she promised to (do something) about the Genocide". As Garen waves his flag on April 24, after having supported the most despicable liberals, the rest of us should have enough sense to stop this nonsense. We live in the 21st century. Even the Armenians in Armenia realize this (I mean the new generation).
  8. Let's not fool ourselves into thinking that Ms. Pelosi was so great and that Turkey actually feared her. I don't even know why Armenians vote based on Armenian issues when both parties are just as useless in this regard.
  9. As we are getting close to another election, the Armenian love affair with the left is in full swing. We are supporting some of the most despicable liberals, on the premise that "he/she is good for Armenia" or "he/she promised to recognize the genocide" or "he/she supported such and such resolution". What has any of this gotten us over the years? How has any Armenian's life significantly improved as a result of this? We have go to wake up and stop this nonsense! We are getting played hard core!
  10. A few conclusions: Armenians in the US can never forget why we are here in the first place: economic opportunity. Any massive socialist policies should be treated with skepticism because they are a threat to this. And the most socialist candidate should not be our candidate. We in the US, can never get excited over some candidate promising to "recognize the genocide". This is BULL. Just my thoughts.
  11. Good topic! You would think Armenians (especially those from the former USSR) have had enough socialism to not vote for it after coming to America. Afterall, what's the point of immigrating to the US if you are choosing socialism (or the left whatever it may be)? But the Armenian masses are just as naive as the rest of the masses! How many times have you heard "I'm voting for Obama because he will recognize the genocide and he is good for Armenia". LOL (It's so sad, it's funny). Can anyone please enlighten me as to why anyone would leave the former USSR, come to America, and vote for the most socialist candidate here? Is it because he "will recognize the genocide" and then "we will get our lands back". LOL
  12. I think in developed countries protests are very symbolic since there is more of a well developed system (judicial, electoral, etc.) to attack an issue. In the 3rd world protests are much more angry by a largely subdued population who probably have no more patience and no other channel. I think true reform takes place only if at least a couple of people in power or with some significant clout join the protesters.
  13. Thanks a lot guys! I just want to dabble for fun, definitely not anything fancy, just a little practice here and there. I'm starting from the ground up, in the sense that I'm just now learning the basics.
  14. Hey guys, I have a few basic questions If I want to program in C++ on my home PC I guess I need to install a software development kit. From what I understand this includes the editor and the compiler. I want the compiler to be g++. Is this kit something that I can just download or do I need to buy it? From where? And one more thing. Once I write the program, compile it, etc. how do I use it on a different computer. I mean do I just save the exe file on disc, and download on the other computer? But then how can I interface with the program? I'm not sure.
  15. Have you guys been in a situation when you see a stranger (or a group) and you can tell not only that they are Armenian but that they are specifically Hayastantsi?
