Andorra, FC Macedonia, Finland << not very strong teams... but then again, I haven't seen enough of their play to know how they compare to Armenia, so I might be wrong. I want us to win just as much as you do but we have to be realistic.We will never draw against Holland, if they put some effort in.I don't think we will win against Finland either, they have some decent players, some in the Premier League. Who have we got? A 45 goals scoring topscorer yes, but he plays in Armenia. Andorra we will maybe win, but still it's a hopeless mission in my opinion. P.S. Armen Half-Celt Posted December 8, 2003 Author Report Share Posted December 8, 2003 WEll, Andorra is the only team that we arn't seeded lower in our group.We should beat them, but thats in theory.Macedonia were impressive in the Euro 2004 qualifyers, they tied away agaisnt England, and they also scored twice agaisnt Turkey and lead twice before going down 3-2. Although thye finished lower than slovakia in the group in 4th, and were in once case unable to defeat Lichtenstain. They struck me as a slightly more dangerous version of Armenia in soccer. Could be tight.Finland, i know little of but the fact that Northern Ireland (who we beat home and away) we frustrated when thye were unable to score at home against them leads me to believe they are beatable, but that was before.Romania, i dunno..if we try hard we could tie or even beat them if we are lucky and they don't play well.I think Netherlands is the best team in the group. Them and Chzet republic are almost impossbile to deafeat.Of course i thought the same about Spain, and then we held them off for 60 minutes, and gave them some scares, but then we lost 3-0 I'm hoping we can pull some surprises Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Finland are strong, even though they don't seem to qualify for any competition. Finland is also beatable, but once again, its all up to our boys. Holland are very tough. If we get a draw against them, I'll be happy. The Czechs are one of the toughest. Tust me, they are much better than the dutch. They beat the dutch recently too, so, the Czechs are gonna be a poblem. They got players like Nedved and Koller who have no trouble scoring goals. Now, when it comes to Romania, I think they the best in the group. When Romanians play "weaker" opponents, they trash them. I mean, just watch, they're gonna beat Andorra with a score of 8:0 or something. They are the only side that consistantly does that. The dutch and the Czechs always have touble defeating weaker teams, but Romania....never. But I think there is no comparing Koller to Van Nistelrooy, or Rosicky to Van der Vaart. Ok, Nedved is a world class player, but Holland has Sneijder. On all other positions Holland is better than the Czech Republic, especially in defense. I don't recall having the Czechs having a player like Jaap Stam. There is nothing on this earth you can do to make me think that the dutch are better than the czechs. It's true that the dutch have a better reputation. It's true that the dutch have good players like Van der Vaart, Stam, Kluivert, van Nistelrooy, and others. BUT, recently, they don't play the game as a team. They all rely on van Nistelrooy to score and end up with nothing. (Except the last game against Scotland). Playing defense and relying on the offence to snick couple in is the WORST GAME ever. Thats what Armenia always does, and they end up with nothing. The Czechs always play offence and play as a team. Thats why you can't distinguish a player from them who scores all the goals. Hey, I might be wrong, but we'll see when the time comes for the games. Until then, we argue for ages, so I don't see a point in this. P.S.
