Sasun, I personally don't think that Americans are EVER going to leave Iraq. See, thats the thing with Americans, they never LEAVE. They set up a base there and stay FOREVER. Qatar for example, Americans have a base there since the Persian Gulf War. WHY???? Americans STILL have soldiers in Germany---hmm..---when was WORLD WAR II over???..... Thats the reason that nobody wants American soldiers in their country!!!!!! THEY NEVER LEAVE!!! P.S. Besides, Americans will probably stay in Iraq for A LONG time because they are trying to start something against Iran and Iraq is a nice Front for them. Don't you guys think so?

I do, no doubt, we have accomplished a lot during those years, but, what i'm arguing about is that communis leaders could have done A LOT for Armenia and DIDN'T. (regarding to our territories). Now, it will be wrong to think accept communism because NO nation around us lives in communism, and no country that supports us lives in communism and we will lose a lot if we turn communists. DONT YOU THINK SO????? I think Shahumyan will also agree with me on that.

1. Literature --- we had literature since the alphabet was created. LITERATURE was one of the main subjects of Armenians that we are proud of. Communism or not, Literature WOULD have continued growing in Armenia one way or another because we Armenians LOVED and always will love it. For example (Narekatsi, Khorenatsi, Shirakatsi, and more.....) Art --- I can say the same thing about art. Look at our past Architechture. There was no communism when we built Ani, city of Thousand and One Churhces. Drama and Films --- Well, don't know much about that, sorry. (But I still dont see how communism influenced this) Music --- Our music also goes waaaayyy back. Sports (Ararat getting to Semis of Champions League) --- Can't argue that. Maybe we had better living standards back then so our players had time and willingness to practice on themselves and achieve something. Education --- I know that there had been A LOT OF PROPAGANDA on education. For example, communists didn't allow Armenians to study much about their own history. They even forbid Armenians to teach about the Genocide until the 50s or 60s (I'm not sure). Production --- Well, you're right about that one but I see our production rose because the roads were open and now are not. Full Employment --- I agree. Infrustructure --- What about it?

You know what Shahumyan, i'm sick and tired of saying what WRONG things communists did for Armenia. Now it's your turn, tell me about the GOOD things they have done. What did communism accomplish for Armenians? What did our communist leaders do for Armenia? Does your name represent Stepan Shahumyan? I see we have many cities and regions after his name. What did He do for Armenians? What GOOD did Lenin do for Armenia. What GOOD did Brejnev do for Armenia? The only good cummunist I can find is Krushchuv. Thats it.

what I means by that is that if you communists were so good to Armenia, why couldn't you keep Kars?, why couldn't you take Nachijevan and Artsax back after Stalin? Why did the communists oppose NJDEH when he wanted too keep zangezur? Why did those bolsheviks say that DRO was a terrorist when he faught the war of, Sardarapat, which is probably the only reason that Armenia exists TODAY? Trust me, communists could have done more for us(which would have only been fair regarding our losses from 1889-1918), but didn't!!!!

If you communists are so good and fair, WHY COULDN'T YOU KEEP ARTSAKH?, WHY COULDN'T YOU KEEPS NACHIJEVAN?, WHY COULDN'T YOU KEEP JAVACHK? WHY DID YOU GIVE KARS TO TURKEY? Dear Shahumyan: You're right, there is all sorts of corruption in Armenia, BUT, the same thng is going on in every former USSR country. Even in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia which are sort of MORE advanced. In case of Armenia, the ROADS ARE CLOSED. We got NOWHERE to go. No matter who the president is, its gonna be the same. I promise you, you will not see ANY difference if somebody else sits on the THRONE. The good thing about Kocharyan is that he cooperates with Russia and that keeps the turks away at the moment. WE NEED TO REBUILD. OUR NATION HAS BEEN ABUSED FOR CENTURIES. STARTING 1991, WE ARE STARTING EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH. IN THE FUTURE, WE ARE GONNA GET EVERY SINGLE LAND THAT HAS BEEN STOLEN(not conquered) FROM US BACK. WHEN WE DO THAT, OUR ECONOMY WILL RISE BECAUSE NOW WE WILL HAVE A BETTER MARKET BECAUSE WE WILL HAVE ROUTES INTO BOTH EUROPE AND ASIA. All this is gonna take time. 10, 20, 30, 50, or 100 years---it doesn't matter. We WILL get better eventually. And remember, we have a 3,000 year old history, so 100 years is nothing. Our task is to help out our country as much as we can and don't feel bad about the corruptions, those take time also.

ANOUSHIK, I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU AND I'M GLAD TO SEE THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE (LIKE YOURSELF) WHO USE THEIR BRAIN TO THINK AND DON'T RELY ON WHAT THE MEDIA THINKS. Kocharyan IS the best leader we can have right now. To be blockaded by two LONG borders (Turkey and Azerbaijan), to get no respect, no friendship, and no help (as one would say "to get ass") from one other side (Georgia), and to rely on a country who is not liked by many people around the world (Iran), and LIVE IN BETTER CONDITIONS THAN GEORGIA AND AZERBAIJAN IS GOT TO BE A BRAVE PERFORMANCE. Azerbaijan has tons of oil that they sell and make TONS of money off of. They can fill up their budget instantly. Georgia has the Black Sea which they can use to go to Europe. This means better trade and BETTER economy. We ARMENIANS have NONE OF THESE ADVANTAGES, but we still live better than these two. HOW about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends on what happened. I mean, you SHOULD forgive somebody if they are sorry for what they have done. If they're not sorry, then it's kind of hard to forgive them you know. Turks, for example, killed so many Armenians and STOLE our lands. They have caused so much pain to us. Do you guys think they should be forgiven? I, personally, probably would forgive them IF they show that they are sorry for what they have done and fix their mistakes. (FIRST STEP of asking for forgiveness is admiting your mistakes). Then, its up to God.

Whaaat!!! Bro, let me tell you something. There is nothing on this earth you can do to make me think that the dutch are better than the czechs. It's true that the dutch have a better reputation. It's true that the dutch have good players like Van der Vaart, Stam, Kluivert, van Nistelrooy, and others. BUT, recently, they don't play the game as a team. They all rely on van Nistelrooy to score and end up with nothing. (Except the last game against Scotland). Playing defense and relying on the offence to snick couple in is the WORST GAME ever. Thats what Armenia always does, and they end up with nothing. The Czechs always play offence and play as a team. Thats why you can't distinguish a player from them who scores all the goals. Hey, I might be wrong, but we'll see when the time comes for the games. Until then, we argue for ages, so I don't see a point in this. P.S. I'm pretty sure we can beat Andorra home and away. Macedonia, well, its all up to our boys. Finland are strong, even though they don't seem to qualify for any competition. Finland is also beatable, but once again, its all up to our boys. Holland are very tough. If we get a draw against them, I'll be happy. The Czechs are one of the toughest. Tust me, they are much better than the dutch. They beat the dutch recently too, so, the Czechs are gonna be a poblem. They got players like Nedved and Koller who have no trouble scoring goals. Now, when it comes to Romania, I think they the best in the group. When Romanians play "weaker" opponents, they trash them. I mean, just watch, they're gonna beat Andorra with a score of 8:0 or something. They are the only side that consistantly does that. The dutch and the Czechs always have touble defeating weaker teams, but Romania....never. Even though most of you won't agree with me, I think Romania are the best team in the group and will be the hardest for us to beat.

TELL ME NEWS!!!!!!!!!! "Chechens are gonna help azeris to fight against Armenians". THIS IS NOT NEWS!!!!! We fought against chechens in the past war also. In shoushi, we caught several chechen mujahidins and several afghan mujahidins. We caought several of them and couple of them are still being held as prisoners. There were some that actually were executed after getting captured, and you don't wanna know how they died. They fought against us before so this is not news for us and we are not scared of them. Trust me!!! Let those chechens come again. We all know what's gonna happen to those camel breeders.

Well, i don't know. You know, there is only one reason that Armenians don't play well these days. The reason is fitness. We have tallented players but they don't show themselves. After five minutes on the field, they get tired and can barely run. If you're tired i don't think you can show your skills. FITNESS. that's what they gotta work on. Manucharyan is a good player. No doubt. But he has to work on himself every day to get somewhere if he wants to devote his life to football. The under-17 nad 19 is nothing. I mean, it's a good thing that we finally won the first stage, but 17 and 19 year olds don't show much to the world. Its the national team that has to play good. The Karamyan brothers, i don't know. I've watched them play and i dont think they're the answer. They are both quick but have a huge problem of FINISHING. A striker, which Arman is, needs to know how to finish. It doesn't have to be a nice goal. It just has to be one. He needs to finish his chances. The chances he had agains't Ukraine couple months ago, I mean, hehad to put away at least one of them. Now we have only Artur Petrosyan scoring and he is going to retire in about a year or two, and he is not even a forward. He's a midfield player. We NEED forwards and good ones. If you take Raul from Real Madrid, or Van Nistelrooy from Manchester United, what do they do. They just put the ball in the net. I mena, you will never see Van Nistelrooy score a beautiful goal. He doesn't care how he scores, he just does. That's what we need.
