Happyness is a state of mind, that althrough sometimes requires tremendous effort, can be achieved under ANY external conditions.

Not a definition - your just saying it is a state of mind and putting a few conditions on it (sorry - just my take)... what is this state of mind (is it a good or a bad thing - etc...)?

I believe it's a "relative" state of mind. Your current state can be happier than another state (at another time) but I think happyness/sadness refer to relative states of mind.

It's like saying "define" more or less ... except in this case, happy and sad have good/bad conotations to them with happy being the more preferred state. Not sure if I was clear.

Well better - yes...and i agree with what your saying - its all relative. I would say yes i am happy (right now...in general etc)...but that doesn't mean that i am all the time or about all things or that it is a constant state of happyness etc etc (are we talking somewhat the same here?)

totally agree with sasun! good one, i used to be--not so religious- but lately am going through this phase of getting more into the whole aspect and meaning of GOD...God=hope (for the best)....

my reply would be: Putting a smile on someone elses face....or knowing youare needed/wanted by another person-emotionally

An old Jewish prophet said once.

"When you got money, you look better, you are wiser, you are happier, and suddenly you sing better then everyone in the room"

What I think what happiness is?

When you find, achieve, harmony between your conciseness and sub-conciseness.

Another words, make peace with your self, and find emotional attachment to everything you’re involved in life, listen to your inner voice, otherwise you are goanna run empty very soon!

i agree with pretty much everything you said except for the 'emotional attachment'...that IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF ALL HUMAN SUFFERING!! i refer you to the four noble truths of buddhism! --i'm christian, but it's good to expand our horizons and learn from other schools of thought... and...the only 'happiness' money brings is just transitory exitement and euphoria, if you will...true happiness/bliss/peace/nirvana can only be attained through enlightenment, non-attachment, and accepting the changing nature of EVERYTHING..as NOTHING IS FOREVER! and the only constant is change itself... and all the other stuff you mentioned :)
