Azat Posted January 6, 2006 Report Share Posted January 6, 2006 1 line... 1 line of stinking code can cause hundreds of thousands dollars of problems to a company. <%@OutputCache Duration="1" VaryByParam="none" %> All that line does is cache the page for 1 second. Useless really unless it is for 10 seconds or 1 minute or some pages for a day like company news that does not change for days. But when you add the above line globally it can cause havoc as more and more people logon and start to click on the pages within a second. One can see other peoples credit cards and addresses and orders and and and. 2 years of work, 1 month of insane hours, 3 days of sleepless nights in migration and 1 line of code can make a company revert back to the old system. I'm quickly having to re-establish many of the relationships that have made my past few projects successful Hopefully the new folks 'in charge' will have as much common sense as the latest batch.
