Takoush Posted April 22, 2007 Report Share Posted April 22, 2007 (edited) Anahit I was joking except the mother in law part no sister in law, no brother in law, i wish my father in law was still alive so he could keep the leash on my mother in law but other then that i could not have a happier family I just want to say I feel the pain for the guy who you will become a mother in law some day Edward, whether you are joking or not; it doesn't matter to me one way or another; "I said my piece" and I spoke the truth. You are lucky that your wife gives you happiness, know her value. I am sure your wife is a very nice woman, take good care of her and be nice to her always. About brother-in-laws in general, I have no complaints either. They are nice really. About your 'shad vad' comment, know this; that quality people have always praised me and found me to be a person with a delightful personality and a charming personna. I am talking in general that the best thing for a marriage to be successful is better for the newlyweds to go as far away as possible from all in-laws. Because all they do in general is be busy bodies and aim for the destruction of the union. I have seen this happening too many times and it's a big shame. I have often seen this in life and in Armenian marriages and in-laws are BIG trouble!!!!! Edward, I feel the real pain for the poor girl who you will become the father-in-law some day. Because I take some of your kneedeling jokes seriously??? Sometimes it's hard on the screen to see it and be sure. And if you have a hard time seeing my good side after all the positive contributions I have given it in here and to you too; then let's just call it quits. Of all the people, no one loves their zokanch/mother in law as much as Movses. He takes her along every where he goes. He takes her along to shark fishing and uses her as bait. He takes her along when hunting and uses her as target practice. This is all because his zokanch such is a lovely lady, she only visits them twice a year and stays six months at a time. Arpa dear; maybe you appreciate me; but Edward doesn't seem to. I think he hates me. Now I am going to really confess and I don't care if the whole world hears me out for God is my witness! Maybe this is better than Dear Abbey for I don't care anymore that this is anonymous or not. I have been the perfect daughter-in-law and yet my jealous and controlling mother-in-law has driven me up the walls. Instead of being a good sane mother and mother-in-law, she did so much mean things to me along with her jealous daughters; that it's not funny. For they have hurt me a lot with their jealousy and controllingness because I have been sweet and kind and a giving person!!!!! If it was an odar girl (FORGET IT) she would've thrown the towel a loooooonng time ago. But I have known to have 'amot' and I am a good Armenian girl and I have put up with their sheer nonesense and maliciousness for a long time now. In a nutshell that's my sad story. My heart is already broken, and Edward comes here and tells me he has a hard time seeing the good in me. Well my dear Edward, why don't you look back and see how much I wanted you to get well and about. I care for you people a great deal and you don't appreciate it, or do you????? One day maybe, maybe if you meet in this lifetime and see me how I behave and I am you'll know the thruthfulness of my words. And Edward here is mean to me saying that he didn't see the good in me in all this time. I am left with those hurtful words and it hurts so. But I still care for you people and him too regardless. Maybe that's why I didn't follow his jokes now, maybe because I am hurting already with my vicious in-laws. Have a good day you guys, I think I'll go and drink some of that Shiraz wine to start feeling better and to drown my miseries away. Ariane Posted April 23, 2007 Report Share Posted April 23, 2007 I am talking in general that the best thing for a marriage to be successful is better for the newlyweds to go as far away as possible from all in-laws listen my story, funny you'll see, I've been married 2 times, my 1st mother in law was living 2000 kms far from us, in south direction. when she was coming to visit us, it was for 1 or 2 months, she was taking MY house controls, childs, houseworks, cooking doing everything, I was the worst wife, didn't know how to keep a good house, she was the queen ! The second one was living 2000 kms far, but this time north direction (really, it's not a joke), when she went to visit us for 2 or 3 weeks, but 2 times in the year, she was the queen (again), but this time I was the servant-girl, she eats, drinks, sleeps like in the hôtel, she left home early in the morning with her husband, sons, daughter, I stay home like Cinderella !!!! I will welcome him and above all, I will leave both of them alone. I will see them when they want to see me, not before that.
