skhara
The finals is going to be between Argentina and Brazil ... either that or Argentina vs Germany. At this point it's a bit too soon to make that prediction though so I'll save my prediction till after round 1 is complete and the brackets are determined. Well it won't Argentina vs Germany. Yervant1
Do you think France will be the comeback team almost nearly being eliminated? Or does this mean that their elimination is delayed by one game?
ED
Do you think France will be the comeback team almost nearly being eliminated? Or does this mean that their elimination is delayed by one game?  you know after watching the 1 roung of the game I can say there are esaly 5 contenders for the cup, the best chance is I think its Brazil, but remember no south amrrican team has won a cup on euorian soil Holland and Geramany perhaps, English have a very good chance, so does Ghana but..... I very much enjoy this wrld cup, games are played buitifuly, Brazil-Japan game.......was music to my eyes anyhow lets see what happens manjana

Sip
The second half of the Holland Portugal game was downright FUGLY. And I wanted to slap the US announcers for making it sound like it was all referee's fault. Many of the players acted extremely unprofessionaly from both sides and it just snow balled out of controll. If I were the referee, I would have handed out a lot more cards.  The only thing that would make up for this fuglyiness is if the Aussies kick the crap out of the Italians!!! By out playing them of course Edited June 25, 2006 by Sip
vava
Well, Edward jan will have to eat his words Holland is out, after a terrible looking game. Portugal may have moved on, but will likely be without some key personel, so we'll see if they can continue to move on... the portugese fans in my neighbourhood were honking their horns for hours after the match - i think they know that this may be their last celebration....
