Im happy to see him picked because in the past few decades they would not put Armenians on the squad, even players in the caliber of Edmond Bzik who was top scorer of the Azadegan league for several years. Argentina and Ivory Coast today is a game that should not be missed. You can´t possibly imagine what the World Cup does in this country, especially given that the team is potentially one of the best ever. The first game is on Tuesday, most offices will let employees off one hour before the game, malls will be closed, etc. The whole country will stop to watch the game. Brazil has to be the favorite with a super talented team. But I think Argentina is going to win. I fly out on the 23rd to Germany to watch couple of games. I am so excited. Boghos I also heard that they are going to close the stock market earlier on days they play and they have installed large screens on the trading floor for traders to be able to watch the games. This is true. We also bought six flat screen TVs so that people can watch the games at the office. Not the Brazil games, just to make it clear. Those everybody will watch at home. I think its pretty much up for grabs, but remember European teams win in Europe, the only time it happenned otherwise was when Sweden brought dishonor and disgrace to the whole continent in 1958 by failing to protect their home turf. Harut Posted June 10, 2006 Report Share Posted June 10, 2006 so far i'm disappointed with all of the games... none of the top teams showed a great game... sweden... horrible... only a few proper shots... players opened good, but passes weren't there... argentina... confident, but as usual recently, playing like sisies... diving, wasting time, etc... not the solid game that i expected... great possession though... but again, not many good shots... england... didn't watch the game, but i heard they sucked... germany... good team, aggresive in the front, but weak defense... they won't stand for too long agaist better teams like that... trinidad and tobago... lucky... good game in their caliber... ivory coast... i was expecting a little more... gave up too early in the middle of the game... they have some experienced players that should have done better... won't go too far... they lack the dynamics... It was also nice to see the Trinidad player celebrate that way, such underdogs... The best game so far has been Argentina vs. Ivory Coast. Now they ar no 2002 Senegal or Cameroon, but decent nontheless. I can't wait to see Iran crush Mexico , too bad I will be at work trying get a hold of a television Yet, thank God for the Tivo... But after Bravo scored Mexico's second goal -which was the defense's fault-, Iran fell apart and that was that. Even the commentator admitted that they were in loss. Holland's game was solid, and Portugal looks promising. USA and Italy both dubut tommorow, and I will actually be home this time...
