Anonymouse
Check it out! I heard it when I was listening to the regular program, The World. http://www.theworld.org/latesteditions/04/20060403.shtml Hell, not even Paul McCartney knew where it was from, but was impressed by it. EDIT: And it's even going to be playing in the Da Vinci Code.

MosJan
Quartet Dudukner Dudukneri Qaryak Geaorgy Minasov yes one of the best Duduk Artists you know those duduk's on the CD cover are commissioned by him - there is only 4 or 5 of them made Alto BAss Kontra BAss you can find more info on him at http://freenet.am/~dudukner/ first time i listen to him was in Yerevan in 2001, he was playing part of Yerkmalyans Patarag - ohhh that was Excellent http://freenet.am/~dudukner/images/duduk.jpg have asked him to make me 3 of his duduk;s ~ he can;t it has been 5 years - nothing soo far so most likely this duduks; will only be used by his duduk quartet MOvses
MosJan
in my opinion he deserves more credit & recognition then he is getting now Artists like him aren't born everyday he deserves more duduks like these are not made overnight - it took him better part of his life to invent them no one has ever made an duduk for 2 or 3 octaves, Minasov did - people who made much simpler duduk have got more credits from Armenia's government and musicians. maybe it's because he can't mass produce them - but in any case i don't know of any other master at this time who can even make an descent copy them
