Takoush
Phantom22: Exactly what book did you read about Jesus' life; I mean other than the Bible, that you're talking about his family and descendents living in fear. I have heard about him having a family but I didn't read about it. Edited February 19, 2006 by Anahid Takouhi
phantom22
Anahid, I will go now to my "wall of books." and list these for you. I may take a hour for me to list them all. I think that I have them all here, but some may be in storage out of state.
Sasun
Phantom, it seems that you have read some fiction books. Or perhaps they are about the life of some guy whose name happend to be Jesus. The real, non-fictional Jesus Christ was not crucified because he was preaching devotion to family and children. Phantom 22: As in answer to your question about organized Christianity, I'm beginning not to believe in it much any more, as I have seen a lot of corruption and bogus. I have seen many non-believers to be better human beings than the ones that go to Church nowadays. On this note I agree with Anoushik. Frankly, I believe in praying at home quietly and living a good life, minding other human beings with dignity and with respect. But, it is more important to be informed with these books, yet reading them with belief in your heart. For wisdom without belief doesn't mean a thing. Do you Phantom22 read these books with belief in your heart? That is the important part in Christianity and the belief in Christianity. From my understanding, you must read it with belief and you must live it in your every day life. Azat
its funny how some people consider books suggested by others as fiction prior to even knowing what books that member would list, but a book written 400 years after Christ is the Truth and is 100% accurate. Azat, St. John who wrote one of the books was a contemporary of Jesus and his disciple and witness. Now if you think Dan Brown or any of those authors know better then I have nothing to say. Having said that I don't think that the Bible records are 100% true, obviously there are some contradictions and can't be all true.

Yervant1
OK, let me ask you a question: what is truth? To be honest I don't know what is the truth. It seems that lot's of people claiming that they know what the truth is. Everything is a percaption of the truth, can be right or equally can be wrong. Once we know the truth we'll be like Gods. Scientists beleived that atom was the smallest particle in the universe and yet they later found out that there are particles smaller than atom, if I'm not mistaken nowadays they found even smaller ones. My point is no one has a monopoly over the truth and if someone claims that they know it then they must be gods. Remember the famous sentence " I know that I know nothing". Some say that the bible is the word of God or knowledge of God and yet these same people agree that the bible has contradictions. If it's true what they say how come God makes mistakes that's not possible. Here I'm not disputing God only those people who claim that religious books are from God. That's why I call them man made religions, got nothing to do with the creator. Until we aquire the truth we'll never know. As I said I don't know the truth and no one does. DominO123
I know that there is no Multiversian here other than Armat, but is there at least one existantialist? We've seen nihilists, humanists, materialists, 'bookists' (bible etc.) but not one existantialist. An existantialist will answer that the truth is what the I know to be true, the Multiverist will answer by confirming that, and the Sipanist will request spanking the Muliververist so that his I confirms that the Multiverist do in fact exist. Guys stop it, believe in what ever you want, what is important is what you believe in, everyone of you pocess the truth your truth. What is important is not to expose the differences between your beliefs but the similarities, everyone of you have faith, faith in something or nothing(nothing is also something ). End of the story. phantom22
A "he" or a "she." "Armena" is a "she" name. Yet, perhaps really a "he" as is the case, I believe, with "Anoush." Really, you guys are incredible! You would do anything to degrade the Bible and Jesus. Anything you hear or read against Jesus or the truth the Bible represents you accept on the spot! When you read and hear the truth from the Bible or a believer you have to comment on it, judge it and dismiss it as a lie or full of contradictions. You have a lot of faith! But not in Christ. You have a lot of faith in the Anti-Christ.

You have a lot of faith in the Anti-Christ. Djrak, are you talking to me? Am I degrading the Bible? Listen, there are contradictions in some details between the 4 Gospels. Before you jump to an outrageous conclusion that I have faith in anti-Christ maybe you need to be less fanatical and have more commonsense. For example, read again carefully how different Gospels describe the sceinario when it was discovered that Jesus' body was not found in the tomb. The details do not tie exactly to each other, as to who was there first, etc. Stop whitewashing the obvious. This contradictions do not mean that the Bible is full of lies, it only means there have been some errors as the scriptures have passed from age to age. "Lie" and "full of contradictions" are your words, not mine.
Djrak
I have a questionn to you all Why is it that Armenians have so little faith in their God? Seriously, among all the nations and people in the entire world, to find an Armenian believer is like finding a remnant from a rare species. And we boast about we're the 1st nation to adopt Christianity as national religion. huh! for what? Really, I know muslims who accepted Christ in their hearts and souls easier than you! I bet turks have more faith than we armenians. I swear. It's so sad. I sometimes marvel at how patient God is. How patient He's been with us. For protecting us thru all the difficulties despite our unfaithfulness to Him. He's so mercyful...

Why don't you worryt about your own faith first? Are you yourself honest with yourself and others? If you are not honest you discredit yourself and everything that you have said here. I thougth you had real faith, but I am having some doubts. So once again, be honest and answer, don't you find the contradictions that I mentioned above?
