Peace is when you've changed your tranny and t-case fluids with synthetic, checked the diff fluids, installed new properly gapped spark plugs, re-filled the oil in your on-board air compressor, fixed the broken shift lever boot, installed the new 4" round LED tail lights, mounted the 55W halogen backup lights, and finished the wiring on the shock adjustment module in the cab in your jeep.

I hope I'll be there in less than a month... or else, peace might have to wait till it starts getting warm again.

Peace is when you're inwardly happy and content both with the nature that surrounds you and your psychological state of affairs. When you feel happy inside (no worries, no anger within you but all love to give, no rushing around), when you stop and smell the flowers or the smell of a burning wood.

Peace is when I used to go for a drive to the Bear Mountains here in New York State and gaze at the beautiful lake or when my daughter was 1 or 2 years old and I used to walk with her all around the lake, feeling very peaceful and content with both my sweet child in the stroller, the blossoming flowers and the green trees that surrounded me.

Peace is when I kiss my aged mother on her cheek or on her forehead or when I brought her hot soup and bread to her today; because she is not well and she cannot move around much. That gives me happiness and peace inside. Peace is when I know my loved ones are healthy and alive. Peace is when my husband kisses me before leaving the house and patting me on the back because of a good dolma or derevi litsk that I have made, and finally peace is when the three of us went this summer to a mountain in upstate New York and walked on a trail and when we all put our feet in the cold stream that was flowing from within.

All of the above to me sums up the word peace. Peace is when you are feeling happy from within yourself and without.

On a national or international level, peace is when people act in an intelligent, civilized and in a human and a loving way to respect the other nationalities as well as their own and come to a compromising situations rather than fighting wars and winning or losing wars or each other.

For us Armenians, peace is when Turkey deblockades their borders, that is after 'chicken flu' passes away; then come to terms with Armenia to live as a good old neighbor and compromise with our rights and needs. Peace with Azerbaijan would be when they understand that they cannot act in a backward dehumanizing ways, btw., not to attack civilians when they're asleep or unprepared to war, not to throw lies that Armenians are behind their dead soldiers or civilians when in fact they died from illness and because their infantry is unsanitised and filthy. Peace is to come to terms with Armenians by acting in a civil and in a humanly fashion.

Finally, peace amongst Armenians is to go forward from this day on and not to attack each other's minor or big mistakes of the past and point fingers to Tashnagtsoutyoun, Ramgavar or whichever gousagtsoutyouns' blunders. Peace is to go forward from here on to go on loving and supporting each other rather than hurting each other unnecessarily. Peace is when we support each other be it here in the Diaspora, in Armenia or in Artsakh. Peace is when we do not fight for controlling and for "ator" for chair. That is recognising who and whom that particular chair belongs to and so deserves.

Isn't New York City exhilirating? It's something else. I've never been to a city that puts me in that mood. It makes you feel alive. :)

Although NY is wonderfull (except all those Pakistanis) I have the same feeling when i visit Montreal, Boston, and when I was in Paris, Rome many years ago. but nothing can compair to New York..........maybe some day I'll move there for good.
