Anileve Posted August 4, 2005 Report Share Posted August 4, 2005 I think what you guys should remember when popping 'THE' question is that it is very special for the woman....so even if the roses,the romantic bath ,the expensive trip, seems over the top to you,it usually is exactly what the woman would want...the proposal is more for the woman ,do whatever she luves or has wished for...it is a very special event,it will be remembered forever ,it is important,set the bar high,it's ok,it's for the woman you love,it's the woman who will have your children,it's for the woman who will put up with you when you're old and cranky ...basically it sets the tone for the rest of the relationship...and from experience I can tell you that setting the tone for the relationship is very important in ALL areas of a relationship... Whats in it for the guy? it is not getting laid as one can get laid all the time without buying some 50 caret rings and going on top of the Eiffel tower to pop the question. Actually as I have gotten older(maybe less wiser) I keep wondering why ANYONE would want to get married. 50% of marriages end up in divorce and the other 49.9% are miserable yet stay together because of kids or family and such. She then creates the general circumstances. The best place for the guy to ask is in a beautiful setting-at the beach at sunset, in a beautiful natural mountain setting or in botanical gardens. No guy should be stupid enough to ask UNLESS he already knows the answer will be yes.
