skhara
http://fomi.ytring.dk/Verdenrundt/Armenia.htm The great and immortal Arshavir Shiragian was born in occupied Constantinople in 1900. Even before his teens he became familiar with the Ottoman empire's filth, violence and immorality. He grew up in the ideologically healthy ranks of Kafir revolutionary organizations. Disguised perenially, he witnessed the awesome torture and destruction en masse of his ARmenian people by Turk/Muslims in 1915 (what's often called the 1st genocide of the 20th century). Thirsting for Justice while the ruling classes of "Civilization" only pretended to care, Arshavir Shiragian offered himself to his Nation as a living sacrifice, if needs be, to avenge the Holocaust against ARmenian home and hearth and the torrents of his people's blood the Turks shed. On March 27, 1920, he assassinated the traitor Vahe Ihsan in Constantinople. He went to Georgia next with his fellow-Haiduk Aram Yerganian. Georgia, supposedly a Kafir Nation was always known for playing footsy with the unspeakable Turk. Arshavir and Aram were both arrested by the Georgian police but they escaped. Arshavir was next sent by his ARmenian Kafir revolutionary unit to Europe where he assassinated the disguised Turkish mastermind of genocide Sayid Halim ***** on the streets of Rome on December 5, 1921. On April 17, 1922, in Berlin itself, the citadel of Krupp power, Arshavir and Aram shot dead Behaeddin Shakir and Jemal Azmi. THESE 2 Turkish murderers specialized in writing poems of self-praise after strangling Kafir children to death and smashing Kafir babies' heads against walls to thus kill them. In 1973 Arshavir died in the USA where he lived out the happiest days of his life. God bless Arshavir, God bless Aram, God bless the many Avengers of the Kafir World, known and unknown, sung and unsung. THESE are the men to whom we owe our survival as Kafirs. PS ARmenian revolutionary organizations were modelled after the historical Serbian Haiduk Movement and particularly the group known as "Ujedinjenje Ili Smrt" (Serbian>"Union Or Death")
gamavor
Many were like Arshavir! They were not terrorists nor they were feday (stupid Armenians use this arabic word for a martyr). They were really Haiduks. They didn't fight to die like brainless feday. They fought for Liberation of their brothers. Don't know why but what came to mind was the name of Bedo Semerdjian (A.K.A Semerdjiata). His brigade operated in the South -west Rodopy mountains in Bulgaria. skhara
Couple of questions: First, the word 'Haiduk (Hajduk?)' is Serbian, yes? Do you know what it means? Second, when they speak of Kafirs - they talk of the unbelievers/infidels from the muslim point of view?

The word FEDAYI has been used for a long time and 80% of Armenians have used it during the genocide. If you do not like a word (apparently you do not like it because it is Arabic. Dont be a blind racist) it doesn't mean that the rest of the people who use it are stupid. And as skhara mentioned the word Hayduk is a Serbian word meaning "պարտիզան" in Armenian. Fedayin in Arabic means martyr. It has been adopted in the Armenian lexicon as "person who will die for its nations freedom", thereas martyr. Arpa
Fedayee: Both my Persian and Turkish dictionaries attest to its Arabic origin. They both define it as "devotee", from the Arabic root word of "feda" =devotion. As a secondary meaning they also list "ransom". Haiduk: And all this time I thought it was an Armenian word based on the first syllable "hay". According to the Websters it is from the Hungarian "hajduk" plural or "hajdu" (I didn't know the Hungarians used the K ending to pluralize). Defined as a "drover", "one of a class of mercenary Magyar foot soldiers in Hungary". No one treats the word as fully as Ajarian. Here is what he says; "Heghapokhakan ankanon zinvor", irregular revolutionary soldier. A relatively recent entry into Armenian. From the Bulgarian "hajduk" (or "haidut"). Many nations use it , like the Chechs, the Polish, The Ukrainians, and even Russians. It also appears in the French as heyduque and heyduc in the English. It was first used to describe " vartsu tetevazen hetevak zinvor trkakan sahmani pahpanutyan hamar/light mercenary infantry to patrol the Turkish fronts". It has found its way into Turkish and other ME languages as "haidud" to mean thief, robber. Another use of the word is to describe them as big and brave men based on the fact that they were usually "qaj ev haghtandam mardiq". In some western languages it has aquired the meaning of "servant". A simple search will open quite a few sites where the word is attributed to Hungarian, Bulgarian and at one site, even Turkish. gamavor
The Armenian historiography is in debt to this part of Armenian history – namely the Armenian Resistance movement against the Ottomans. I dare not to call it Revolutionary because Revolution implies ideology, which was simply lacking in 17 and 18 century. Fedaiys, just as Hayduks were irregular rebels, fighters. Fedais were maybe devotees to their cause as the name implies and ready to die for their ideal. Mostly organized in very small groups without central of even local command or body they were “sole practitioners”. Hayduks, in my opinion were better organized in large groups with network of helpers and were not disinterested in robberies and material gain, be it for survival or revolutionary purposes, however their prime objective remained avenge. I have been biting my tongue for so long that it is virtually torn into shreds. Andranik *****? Do we speak Armenian or that damn language? Ever since I saw this my blood has been boiling. http://janfedayi.com/Andranik/ *****? Whatever happened to Ishkhan? How long should it take us to de-toxify and de-Turkify? Shall we call our president sultan? A friend of mine had named her pet dog *****. Not so much out of cynicism but beacause of her love of it. She is not that deep into Armeniaca, to her naming her beloved pet was a sort of act of love. Even then "*****", despite her is a suitable name for a dog. We call Boghos Nubar a ***** as well, rightfully so, since he was an officer of the Ottoman Empire, and a prince in his own right. Was Andranik a Turk or an officer of the Empire? Another thing that gets me everytime is, when refer to those dogs Talaat and Enver as "*****s". Maybe my friend had the right idea naming her dog *****!!! Brings to mind the following song; Talaat *****n pakhav Berlin, Tehlirian@ hasav hetin, Zarkets jaktin, prets getin, Gini lits, akhber jan, gini lits!! Arpa
Here is Arshavir from another angle. When cornered some people will stoop so low as to compare a freedom fighter, an avenger to common murderous criminal. Be sure to go to Hayrenik site and watch video dedicated to Arshavir in 1965. ===== THE STRIKING SIMILARITIES BETWEEN TWO TERRORISTS Soner YALCIN, Hurriyet Turkish Daily News Feb 5 2007 Both had no "father figure" to look up to. They both liked and played football. Both were unemployed. Both formed their opinions on nationalism from respected elder brothers. They were both convinced that their victims were "traitors." Both used guns. Before assassinating their victims one prayed in a mosque and the other in a church. The similarities between the two terrorists, one Turkish and the other Armenian, weren't limited to these. His name might be Ogun Samast or Arshavir Shiragian. This doesn't change the fact that a terrorist is a terrorist. Arshavir Shiragian was born in Istanbul in the early 20th century while Ogun was born in 1990 in Trabzon. Arshavir's father died, Ogun's father left home. Both dropped out of school and both young men were unable to find jobs. They both played football, but were not good players. They garnered their "political" knowledge not by reading, but from chats with friends. Both were members of nationalist organizations. One group was called the "Attic Brigade," because the organization was founded in an attic, while the other one was called "The Brothers' Organization," for it was established in a neighborhood coffeehouse. Their first acts of murder came at an early age: Arshavir was 20; Ogun was 17. Both murders took place in Istanbul, one on Osmanbey Halaskargazi Street, the other on Taksim Tarlabaþý Boulevard. Both were political murders based on the reason that the victim was a "traitor." Ogun Samast murdered journalist Hrant Dink who published the Armenian newspaper Agos, while Arshavir Shiragian murdered Armenian official Vahe Essaian, an Armenian who converted to Islam. Both ran into the back streets after the murder and both were identified quickly. One was immediately captured, the other fled to Armenia. Terrorist Arshavir Shiragian continued his murders. He shot Halim ***** on Dec. 5, 1921 in Rome. In 1922, he massacred nine people. He came to Istanbul four months after the massacre, but then ran off to France with his terrorist comrades and was not recaptured. He never returned to Turkey. Shiragian became a writer and he published the details of the murders and his memoirs in the book "The Legacy," published by a Boston-based Armenian society. In 1982 the book was published in France with the title, "La dette de SANG" (The Debt of Blood). In 1997 Dr. Kadri Mustafa Oraðlý translated the book into Turkish under the title "Confessions of an Armenian Terrorist." (Kastaþ Publications, May 1997.) We will see what Ogun Samast will do once he gets out of jail. Will he too write a book of his memoirs? Regardless of what the name might be - Arshavir Shiragian or Ogun Samast - terrorism never has a religion, nation or a "sacred purpose." Maybe in a few years when the English revise/modernize their orthography and the Queen writes like that then we will also revise our language and rewrite Shnorhali’s poems like; “Ռվտ լսո րգկ րդր, Ռ ս լս ծգա” etc. We need more so called armenologists, the more I read his thesis the more convinced I become how ignorant and bigoted he is, and economists of the like me need two more holes in our head. There are many kinds of idiots, but none tops Armenian idiots. PS. Sometimes it takes me hours to find the proper monograph in the Armatakan by Ajarian, until I realize- Duh, you idiot, look under Hee/Յ, not Ho/Հ, under E/Է, not Ye/Ե. Are they telling us that know more and better Armenian than Ajarian, who can easily be labeled as a latter day Mashtots, who just like Mesrop spent his entire life searching and re-searching our language?
