Anoushik
I would think, sexual activity with the members of one's own sex, by most definitions. style_images/master/snapback.png It just hit me that I'm not sure about the definition of homosexuality (And I had a huge homosexuality thread) It's just the sexual activity with the members of one's own sex or a person also emotionally has to be attracted to the members of one's own sex? DominO123
If the forum activities are minimals, if one wants to increase the number of active members, just bring a discussion about homosexuality, and you'll succeed. Just look at it, we were able to have wh00t back.
Armen
I think wh00t Reno example pretty much sommed it. When I said killing to kill, I eamnt for no practical reasons. style_images/master/snapback.png Emotional satisfaction may be very practical as well. You touched my sensitive nerve. homosexual behavours should not be mixed with homosexuality in general. I think that even heterosexuality is not common in the rest of the animal kingdom. Heterosexual behavour is. I think heterosexuality and homosexuality does have more than just a sexual behavour. Secoial and cultural ellements are as well involved. DominO123
Emotional satisfaction may be very practical as well. style_images/master/snapback.png Yeh, but can this be called "practical" ? Will a tigger decide to leave his territory, while he's not hungry to go and kill another animal for no pratical reason?

As I said that proves that human's have to satisfy their Ego (animals don't), which is almost the same as satisfiying your hunger for food or sex. Clearly, hunger comes first ... Anileve
So whatever you find animals doing is true for the humans. Perfect. Well then ... wars are OK because we kill for more food. style_images/master/snapback.png Since when? I was under the impression that when it comes to wars we kill for greed and power, not survival. Are you aware of any animal induced genocides?
Anileve
How is this effort showing anything about genetics? If nothing else, they have shown how sexual behavior is influenced by environments and sheer numbers. Just throw a bunch of guys in prison and they'll start mouting each other. I think this is a great effort at showing homosexuality is not a human only trait and therefor it's probably not influenced by the devil. style_images/master/snapback.png A very sound logic, it is not however universal. DominO123
Examples and proof please. style_images/master/snapback.png I gave two already in this thread dear. One with chimps deviding into two groups and waging war one against the other, untill destroying the other group... just like humans would do. The other with the chimps stealing baboun babies and butchering them for no instinctive needs. Edited January 6, 2005 by Fadix

DominO123
I need to see proof. style_images/master/snapback.png type on google "Jane Goodall" and "murder" You'll find bunch of articles and references on chimp murdering like humans. Anileve
Well that just reaffirms that we descended from apes. Any other examples? By the way that's a very interesting phenomenon, they "build dark coalitions"?
Armen
The fact that it occurs in a typical environmental settings does nothing for you? How could there be no genetic component if there is no societal abnormality to justify it? style_images/master/snapback.png Because typically (and increasingly) homosexuals don't have children nowadays. Does this mean that their number is going to decrease? Or does this mean that people who have that gene are going to vanish? Or do we all carry that gene that can reveal itself seven generations from us (me, you, whoever)?
Stormig
by the way, this is a great effort at showing that homosexuality is a genetic disorder... style_images/master/snapback.png Pray tell.

Armen
That made me think ... which would I choose if I had to make a choice ... assuming both came in buffet form of course style_images/master/snapback.png First is the shelter I think. If the temperature is too hot or cold you never notice your hunger until you die. Then comes food. Followed by sex. Although sex without prior meal is THE ONE. So there is a dilemma there. Did you mean sex in buffet form or the Ego satisfaction thing in buffet form (I can't clearly imagine this last one as a buffet)?
