Alla, I agree with your getting old alone theory. In addition to that, some people feel this amazing need to be around other people ALL the time. In addition to that, I think up-bringing has a lot to do with it. I just look around to the people I know very closely (esp. the Armenian ones) ... it seems as if for them, getting married is a MUST ... something that everyone has to do. I blame their parrent/relatives for that. But let me say this. I think if someone is thinking of having kids (a very valid choice in life I think) marriage is pretty much a must. Maybe not the traditional marriage with the ring and the drinking and the big cake ... No! the important thing is the LONG term commitment to the kids.
