  1. In view of the latest debacle, we will imitiate a national campaign to throw this latest "policy vomit" into the face of the National Organization of Republican Armenians (NORA). We will finally and indelibly seperate those elements of the Armenian-American community who are adhered to the Republicn Party from it and help elect Senator Edwards as President in 2004. Bush and the Republicans in no way deserve any Armenian support. We will throw this debacle into the face of NORA every time they open their mouths.
  2. Harut, The first step toward improvement is to come to terms with one's shortcomings. Baliozian is challenging the Armenian community to look into the negative parts of it's psyche. Have the majority of us been Ottomanized and Sovietized? My ex-wife would always claim that she was perfect, not needing to change in any way. Raised within the Armenian community, one should not expect any different attitude. I was raised among odars. I can see what is wrong with us from the outside. Baliozian is my guru.
  3. In view of what is happening to ur community, it is quite apparent that our leadership is bankrupt. We need new direction, which will lead us into the future. Many of the old views must be discarded. Ara Baliozian is a beacon of sanity in the sea of mediocrity that is the Armenian leadership.

    Sorry, spelled Beilin.

    Bizarre

That Sharon is one Jew who I greatly dislike. The Jews I like are Belin, Sarid, Auron, Charney and a myriad of Jews around the world that support our interests like Egoyan's friend and production partner Lantos, Miramax President Weinstein, and a bunch of American politicos, even Cohn-Bendit of France. I think that Clarence Thomas is an abomination. I am sorry that all the work I did for civil rights elevated someone like him. The Jew I truly hate is the Reverend Lou Sheldon, who twists Christian belief to spread hatred. Ditto the dead bastard Armenian Rushdoony.

    Bizarre

Vierra compounds the damage. In an article in the LA Times an INS official states that the listing of Armenia was NOT a mistake, but they are no longer included. Therefore, Armenia IS a terroritst nation, BUT the Armenian-Americans are TOO powerful a political force. Next step, there was NO Armenian Genocide, but we must recognize it because the Armenian-Americans are too powerful a political force. WHAT BULLSHIT is the Bush Adminstration handing us?

    Bizarre

Although my family are closely tied to both the AAA and Echmiadzin, I really admire ANCA, and am disgusted with the AAA. For years AAA ignored the only Armenian in the US Congress solely because she was a Democrat. This 1/2 Armenian got little respect from them. When a 1/4 Armenian Republican was elected, they lavished much praise upon him. Lately they appointed a super-partisan Republican as Executive Director, who left the post shortly before this latest debacle. Our community ignores the most famous Armenian artist in the world and puts so many has-been artists on a pedestal. The greatest Armenian fighters for human freedoms are ignored by thosewho run the AAA. Thank God for ANCA. All the AAA knows how to do is to schedule society balls at the Pierre and Bevely Hilton.

Twilight Bark, I personally was thrilled when ANCA endorsed Clinton. For all of Dole's advocacy for Armenians what influence does he have, if any, among his colleagues inthe Republican Party? Just remember that Clinton allowed the Genocide Resolution to come to the floor of the US House and only when he got an urgent call from Peres in the middle of the night, after Sharon had walked on a Moslem Holy place in Jerusalem (done specifically to agitate the Palestinians, to help his candidacy)did Clinton use his influence to quelch the Resolution. The Bush Administration, on the other hand, overtly insulted us. This was not a reaction but an overt action. As such, this was much more malevolent than Clinton's actions.

Was this all a sick joke? Or was the Bush administration planning a payback to Turkey for use of it's bases? Bravo to American Armenians. Do you really think that we will ever be taken for granted again. An oil lobbyist once said "We have seen the Armenians' bark, now let us see their bite." Well, they have seen our first bite. We should not be taken for granted by ANY ADMINISTRATION. Despite the Republican's gains the US government is still split almost 50/50. The upcoming elections may still be very close. WE should not be perceived to be in anyone's pocket.

    Bizarre

Boghos, The one who you and so many other here admire has treacherously stabbed us in the back. I can not have any kind of civilized discusson under these circumstances. I ardently supported Bradley, the only candidate who was pro-Armenian, and then the lesser of the two evils, Gore. I knew what was coming with Bush/Cheney.

    Bizarre

I know that Brazil is not as race-conscious as the US and that numerous mixed-race people are at the upper echelons of Brazilian society. What do you know of struggle, Boghos? You are the "fils-a-papa" of an affluent medical professional who has never had to worry where your next meal is coming from. My papa, scion of one of the wealthiest Armenian families in Turkey had to work as a "hammal" in Paris and struggled for years before becoming an engineer. I have had to endure every type of job, including cleaning toilets to get my education. You conservatives all deserve the fate of Marie Antoinette!!!!!!!

    Bizarre

Boghos, You live in Brazil, where Africans have reached the pinnacles of financial success for decades. You do not understand the US. As such, your conclusions are too simplistic.

    Bizarre

As President Reagan had said, "Don't agitate the Mother alligator until you have crossed the bayou." Now that the Republican have taken over the country, we Armenians are expendable. As for Israel, it is not the Jews who have power with these guys but the born-again Christians who are vehemently pro-Israel. As for the Turks that is a business situation (oil) and military situation (Iraq).
  15. khodja

    Bizarre

One needs only to have been in the bowels of the Republican Party, as I had been, to realize what these devils are all about. Lott comes out of his racist closet and now we know what these boys (and a few girls) really think of us. I passed as white for many years. No one knew that I was Armenian (or bisexual). I KNOW what these guys really think of Armenians. Now We ALL know.
  16. khodja

    Bizarre

Some of us think of the US as OUR country. We want to stay here and make it better. MONEY is important but there are other concerns we have (e.g. environment and human rights). It is sad that the Bush administration welcomes and helps those like Gamavor who are here only to pass through, but does everything in it's power to destroy the lives of people such as myself who have worked so hard all my life.
  17. khodja

    Bizarre

Vice-President Cheney has been working feverishly from the first day he took office to bankrupt California. He and his oil-business cronies worked not only to keep the Baku-Ceyhan Pipeline out of Armenia but also out of the Armenian populated regions of Georgia. Deputy Defense Secretary Wolfowitz praises Turkey's civil rights record. This administration is clearly not our friend.
  18. khodja

    Bizarre

Gamavor, That is the difference between your family and mine. We came here at the turn of the last century, worked long hours, and assimilated. We adopted the US as our nation and became part of the mainstream, while keeping knowledge of the Armenian language. That is why the Bush Administration is so alarming to me and not to many other newly-arrived Armenians who do not know what it is to live in a free country. Now we will all feel the sting of this spider.
  19. khodja

    Bizarre

Gamavor, You are a typical attorney, obfuscating the issues. The Armenian lobby has been quite successful in attempting to right the wrongs our people have endured. The problem is that with this Bush adminstration we have gone from the frypan into the fire. The likes of you worked feverishly to bring your former governor to the Presidency. Compare the condition of our nation (US) and Armenian affairs under Clinton with what is going on now and you will see that you are an ememy of Armenia.
  20. khodja

    Bizarre

There is nothing wrong with the Armenian leadership. For the first time in decades they have made a sincere attempt to work in unison at times. They have achieved too much success. The problem is a total power grab by the present adminstration, one that places politics over policy. It wants to turn the US into another China, where workers are willing to work at wages which will allow them only mere substanance and where the conservative churches rule supreme. NOTHING is out of limits for them even treason. For such a regieme to survive it must severely curtail civil ilberties. That is why the 9/11 events were allowed to play out. So a police state could be formed. Within two short years a bustling US economy has been stopped in it's tracks, and wealth has been massively transferred from the middle classes to the wealthy. Will the American public realize what is transpiring only when it is too late?
  21. khodja

    Bizarre

All you SUPER-ESHEG conservative Armenians who ardently supported Bush will now feel the sting of his administration. You didn't realize how good we had it under Clinton. Weems has succeeded. Armenia is now considered the ONLY Christian terrorist state in the world. Bush's administration has become a Turkish military mouthpiece.
  22. Hagarags, Khojas, Moshes? I see that you are referring to me, eh Gamavor? How silly. I have visited the ROA, and Greece but chose to circumvent Turkey, as I will NEVER visit there until they acknowledge the Genocide and make amends. I would NEVER purchase any Turkish apricots or other Turkish products. I would NEVER step foot in a Turkish store. I do not shop in Turkish stores. I do not eat Armenian sweets or sweets of any kind, nor do I go much to Armenian restaurants. I do make Armenian dishes at home which are vegetarian and not filled with fats and chemicals. That is why I have not greyed and appear to be about thirty years of age at 50+. If you were referring to me, you are talking out of your ass again.
  23. Azat, You have chosen to post here, as have the others in this forum. If the majority here are more leftist/libertarian than you that is because those here left the other Armenian forum when the Jew-haters took over there. Why do you conservatives feel that you have to RUN away?
  24. Domino, There is something that we humans are capable of and that is strong discipline. Would you be surprised that in the past 20 years the only person I ever had sex with was my ex-wife? In the age of AIDS and other STDs, anything else is suicide. I do not believe that condoms are safe. So my story is much more boring that you would believe. My bisexuality is a state of being, not presently being acted upon.
