no wrong...at least this statement is incorrect if you claim that the "myths" of ancient Egypt of Sumer etc/for example are just "myths" and not indeed equal testament to anyting in the Bible...in fact I would claim these are more so accurate testaments - or at least more likely probable (and BTW they are written as such)...as the bible - particualrly the new testament is such an obvious fabrication and manipulation...OK I'll take that back - the old testament is even more fabricated and manipulated (and stolen from others)...but yes - funny how conviently the new testament draws on nearly all the messanic (and cyclical rebirth etc etc ) stories before it - and how the text was written to fit into certain prophecy form the old....yet - its fabrications are most clear - particularly with the various discrepencies of the life and words of the supposed christ. Can't you understand - these "passion of the Christ" and such events - never happened! They are myth as they are derived from earlier myth (or OK perhaps testament...but not testament about anyone named jesus...). The New testament stories (contradictory in detail) - are clearly contrived. They have no cooroborating evidence other then themselves - clearly a book of propaganda that meet no standards of evidence (to be considered as testimony) whatsoever!

People often give me cologne...which I rarely if ever where...are they trying to tell me something?
-
Hey hey hey - no way - you stick it out dude... First of all its only 3 games - and you never know whats going to happen - secondly - don't be such a wimp... I had the last pick in another internet leauge I'm in and I'm 2-1 and have a great team. Its no excuse...and injuries ghappen - deal with it. I've had plenty of teams with major injuries - much worse then you have suffered - and you pick up guys on wiaver and find guys to perform. Additionally the way this league is set up there is a very small bench. in the upcomming bye weeks peole are going to be forced to drop good players...you pick them up....if your team has the worst record you get first dibs...so don't give up now...sure last year was a fluke - (and I told you your team sucked this year...) but look at you - don't be a wimp - see what your made of. My team sucked at the beginnign of last year and I made it a good team using the waiver wire - lets see if you can do the same...

...I think your onto something here Nakharar... ..don't these Armenians understand that this is the same sort of distortion, half truth and racism that has been used against us...
-
...sometimes..?
-
Man - I was agreeing with Sip...and you had to go and ruin it... :velho:
-
I disagree completly. This is no solution but an obvious perscription for disaster - particulalry for Armenia...I mena you can't just go on forever with a regional power at your doorstep that has animosity towards you...not a long term plan for success...and there are economic ramifications as well - to not have relations - and we alreadysee some of this - thought there is much black market trade...and again - not a long term plan for success - or even a short term considering Armenais rather bleak economic state...please try to live a bit in the real world...(and stay off that glue...rots your brain cells... )
-
Hm..what do you do then...sniff glue? j/k

Nice Mosjan...though makes me think of all the first editin comic books my mom threw out...and even worse she trashed a cousin of mine's entire baseball card collection - pretty much every card from sometime in the late 50s through the 1960s! yikes!!!)...imagine what thet mat have been worth...so keep your cards safe & in good shape! No hangover Eve...I rarely get them...secret is proper hydration (and don't drink swill chemical filled beer or overly mix beer/wine with spirits)...you may not have liked my second suggestion - and thats OK - but I was thinking of him...yeah its a gift for him remember! But yeah - tickets are always nice. We ussually give movie tickets to our kids teachers around christmastime and at the end of the school year - always much appreciated...

The Names of God by Lambert Dolphin Old Testament (The Hebrew Scriptures, or Tanach): EL: God ("mighty, strong, prominent") used 250 times in the OT See Gen. 7:1, 28:3, 35:11; Nu. 23:22; Josh. 3:10; 2 Sam. 22:31, 32; Neh. 1:5, 9:32; Isa. 9:6; Ezek. 10:5. El is linguistically equivalent to the Moslem "Allah," but the attributes of Allah in Islam are entirely different from those of the God of the Hebrews. ELAH is Aramaic, "god." Elah appears in the Hebrew Bible in Jer. 10:11 (which is in Aramaic, and is plural, "gods"). In Daniel (the Aramaic sections) Elah is used both of pagan gods, and of the true God, also plural. Elah is equivalent to the Hebrew Eloah which some think is dual; Elohim is three or more. The gods of the nations are called "elohim." The origin of Eloah is obscure. Elohim is the more common plural form of El. Eloah is used 41 times in Job between 3:4 and 40:2, but fewer than 15 times elsewhere in the OT. See the Catholic Encyclopedia entry on Elohim. ELOHIM: God (a plural noun, more than two, used with singular verbs); Elohim occurs 2,570 times in the OT, 32 times in Gen. 1. God as Creator, Preserver, Transcendent, Mighty and Strong. Eccl., Dan. Jonah use Elohim almost exclusively. See Gen. 17:7, 6:18, 9:15, 50:24; I Kings 8:23; Jer. 31:33; Isa. 40:1.

more... Bene Elohim Note that plural gods elohim' appears in the earliest Hebrew texts, even though it is translated as God (El) in modern texts. "...The sons of gods (bene ha-elohim') saw the daughters of men that they were fair..." - Genesis 6:2a "The sons of God (or children of God; 'bene elohim' and variants) are divine members of God's heavenly host...The title 'sons/children of God' is familiar from Ugaritic mythology, in which the gods collectively are the 'children of El'...The sons/children of God are also found in Phoenician and Ammonite inscriptions, referring to the pantheon of sub-ordinate deities, indicating that the term was widespread in the West Semitic religions." - Oxford Companion to the Bible "The Watchers were "a specific race of divine beings known in Hebrew as nun resh 'ayin, 'irin' (resh 'ayin, 'ir' in singular), meaning 'those who watch' or 'those who are awake', which is translated into Greek as Egrhgoroi egregoris or grigori, meaning 'watchers'. These Watchers feature in the main within the pages of pseudepigraphal and apocryphal works of Jewish origin, such as the Book of Enoch and the Book of Jubilees. Their progeny, according to Hebrew tradition, are named as nephilim, a Hebrew word meaning 'those who have fallen' or 'the fallen ones', translated into Greek as gigantez, gigantes, or 'giants' - a monstrous race featured in the Theogony of the hellenic writer Hesiod (c. 907 BC)." - Andrew Collins, From the Ashes of Angels - The Forbidden Legacy of a Fallen Race (1996) p. 3 "The statement (Gen. 6:1) that the 'sons of God' married the daughters of men is explained of the fall of the angels, in Enoch, vi-xi, and codices, D, E F, and A of the Septuagint read frequently, for 'sons of God', oi aggeloi tou qeou ['angels of God']. Unfortunately, codices B and C are defective in Ge., vi, but it is probably that they, too, read oi aggeloi in this passage, for they constantly so render the expression 'sons of God'; cf. Job i, 6; ii, 1; xxxviii, 7; but on the other hand, see Ps. ii, 1; lxxxviii, & (Septuagint). Philo, in commenting on the passage in his treatise 'Quod Deus sit immutabilis', i, follows the Septuagint." - Hugh Pope, The Catholic Encyclopedia

The Elohim For the ancient Hebrews "divinities (elohim) dwelt in nature and in the sky. Different tribes each had particular deities who were especially concerned with their affairs." - Ninian Smart, The Religious Experience of Mankind "...The geologist Christian O'Brien argued that these [ancient Hebrew and Sumerian] texts describe a race of beings called Shining Ones - his translation of the Hebrew word Elohim. These beings created modern humans from earlier human forms by genetic manipulation. Some of these beings, called Watchers, mated with humans, and this was considered a crime by the Shining Ones. One of the Watchers was named Shemjaza, and Yahweh was one of the Shining Ones. O'Brien argued that the Shining Ones were superior but mortal beings of unknown origin." - Richard L. Thompson, Alien Identities - Ancient Insights into Modern UFO Phenomena "When the gods created Mankind Death for Mankind they allotted, Life they retained in their own keeping." - The Epic of Gilgamesh "The Elohim originally included not only foreign superstitious forms, but also all that host of Heaven which was revealed in poetry to the shepherds of the desert, now as an encampment of warriors, nor as careering in chariots of fire, and now as winged messengers, ascending and descending the vault of Heaven, to communicate the will of God to mankind." - General Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...." - Genesis 1:26 "In the clay god and Man shall be bound, to a unity brought together; So that to the end of days the Flesh and the Soul which in a god have ripened - that Soul in a blood-kinship be bound." - Sumerian creation story, Encyclopedia Britannica The creators (Elohim) outline in the second hour 'the shape of a more corporeal form of man. They separate it into two and prepare the sexes to become distinct from each other. Such is the way the Elohim proceeded in reference to every created thing." - Eliphas Levi, The Nuctameron of the Hebrews "...The androgynous constitution of the Elohim is disclosed in the next verse, where he (referring to God) is said to have created man in his own image, male and female; or, more properly, as the division of the sexes had not yet taken place, male-female....This definitive reference to a humanity existing prior to the 'creation of man' described in Genesis must be evident to the most casual reader of Scripture." - Manly P. Hall, Masonic, Hermetic, Quabbalistic & Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy "...The sons of gods (bene ha-elohim) saw the daughters of men that they were fair..." - Genesis 6:2a "Other Elohim are occasionally mentioned throughout the older parts of the Old Testament. The most important of them is Baal, usually translated as the Owner. In the Canaan of the times, there were many Owners, one to each village, in the same way that many Catholic cities today have their own Virgin Marys, and yet they are all the same one." - Julian Jaynes, The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind Not all scholars accept the plural nature of the Elohim. "Biblical Hebrew occasionally employs something scholars call the 'majestic plural'. In effect it is a plural ending added to a deity's name to confer status or majesty. In the Old Testament the best example is Elohim which does not mean 'the gods' but is rather the god El with the majestic plural im appended." - David M. Rohl, A Test of Time: The Bible from Myth to History (1993), p. 228

Yeah it does fit.... Perhaps you are onto someting there. Remember Judeao religion that Christianty has its roots in is a Patriachial religion that evolved from sheparding people. These people were dull & rigid compared to the party animal agricultural peoples - who were generally all matriarchial and goddess worshiping. (all true) These deadbeat shepards turned all the fun fertility goddesses and all the other gods of the fun loving partying agriculturalist into demons and succbuss and such. And yes - no doubt (humankinds dear friend) the slithery serpent was one of these...I like your theory - about Satan being a woman (except only it gives the bible thumpers another excuse to denigrate and blame women for the ills fo the world)...but yeah as Christians seem to want to supress all that is sensuous - all that is wild & fun - yeah it does fit... Yeah! he is always trying to get "her" to submit to him - big sado masochistic bully! And I'm certain there are a few violent rapes from his frustrated rage..and he is certainly jealous that "she" is so much cooler...dresses well, goes to the best parites, is more fun in bed...etc etc...yeah I like!

No World Order 1.1 Composer: Todd Rundgren Let me tell you 'bout the new world order Not the kind to make you run for the border It's a new religion wrapped in a revolution With a proven solution for your mental pollution Cars and gold bars and chains and diamond rings These are the symbols, we want the real things Peace in the soul and a natural insight Things that please the mind and make the body feel right Don't let no one tell you that god ain't got a sense of humor Someone said he's pissed off, but that was just a rumor I know he's laughin' when the preacher starts to scream about How trippin' is evil, and sex is unclean Nature wants your life to go on long and on strong To have children and show them where you went wrong So if your life style leads you into hell or into prison Wake up and listen, this is what you're missing Free will, we can't seem to get our fill We are beggers, we are choosers drunk on a lack of power I believe in understanding, I've got to know where we're landing I'm takin' my survey now, hands up if you're with me Do you want different choices? Can't hear the quiet voices Got to dim all the lights, turn down the volume Put on a little more forgiveness, who's gonna be my witness? If we must endure this trial, someone is bound to touch us Do you want more sex, more comforting A little more foreplay and afterglow, let my people go Everybody wants peace on the earth, children sheltering Calling every man, every woman We're gonna take control of our own bodies Peace breaks out in the battle of the sexes We start to learn what the other one expects is We stay away from what the other one rejects is And have respect for individual perspectives We're gonna break out of this cycle of dependency And liberate each other from a hopeless life of drudgery And face up to the truth as we dispel all of this secrecy And simplify the situation when we learn to speak plainly We're gonna take control of the machinery Bad little actors that chew up the scenery Job number one is gonna be findin' a way That we can rave all night and meditate all day Mankind's strugglin' hard to see the light To hear the voice of the spirit in the night To lay down his heavy burden and pick up his soul power And build a heaven on earth hour by hour by hour Child protection, more careful mate selection Everyone wants to be wanted by a natural father and mother Lookin' for a sense of wonder, don't let your faith go under This is a beautiful world, if we could only give up fighting The answer is surrender, every race, every gender Beat our swords into plowshares on the anvil of a pure heart We gotta have honest answers and the courage to take our chances Opportunity's knockin' loud, give me your attention

yes thought so...but let us not equate knowlege (carnal or in general) with evil - as this is the noral of the story - God/the gods [elohim] supposedly wanted us to be without (carnal) knowledge (and perhaps just knowledge/creativity/free will) in general....our "savior" - Enki (depicted as a serpent) - is the being who we should be greatful to for our enlightenment (and your orgasms...)...no - not evil at all...most wonderful & miraculous...and so very human (of course)....
-
Don't diss vinegar....it is/can be a truly sublime additive for many tasty dishes...various delicious pasta and tomato salads and such come to mind...and just saleds in general (I have abotu 5-6 diff kinds of vinegars in the house...incl aged balsamic and various wine vinegars...such as a white muscat and orange wine vinegar that is simply outstanding in salads - I make all my own dressings...and folks are ussually impressed (in fact last year I was negotiating the possibility of bettling my own line of fresh dressings!)
-
Yeah what if you told me/us that....not sure I am automatically convinced...what can I say?
-
you mean we became human...how could we be human if we were perfect...this does not compute..and of course - if we were perfect how could we have erred so (seems like a pretty big "oops" eh? Then again it says something for "self centered desires" I imagine... You contradict yourself here - you say God didn't create an opposing force as/to be a counterpart...but then yousay everything must have a counterpart to exist.....sooo - did God not exist until he created a counterpart...or does god not exist because he has no counterpart? Think about this one a bit - eh... Oh and I just exist (by counterpart you mean "opposite" ...I mean I do consider my wife my "counterpart" in a sense - in a good sense that is...as in partner...though I do occasionally find that we are in opposition on certain things...such as discipling the kids, who gets to drive the BMW - these sorts of things...did I not exist before finding my wife...don' t think so - but certainly has changed (significant aspects of my existance..)
-
well thank you Sip - at least somone is giving me (positve) credit - its been rare for me around here of late...
