Didn't the underdog (or one of a few) win last year? Maybe it doesn't matter that Hayko probably will not win. I will be sufficiently content by the fact that a talanted Armenian performer will represent our country. Imagine the alternative...."Shprot" was involved in last years ceremonies in some capacity or another....hardly anything to brag about. Hayko should have more airtime. No complaints here. Only regret is the miles seperating us and the height (or lack thereof) issue.

Thank you, Sip. The sentiment means a lot. In all honesty though, we are having way too much fun! It will be very sad when school is over. The secret to having young kids and still keeping sane is to have time away from them spent enjoying grown-up activities.

So, Ani and I go to school together and usually she drives (since she has a newer German car than I do ) so she is responsible for locking the car doors right? Nope. You'd think that between the two of us adults one would remember to lock the doors, but we are so absent-minded that we have come back to her car on more than one occasion to find her doors unlocked and thnkfully her car intact. This is after a day of back to back clases. Lol. And the scary part is that between the two of us, we are raising three kids. Lol.

Party: Social occasion where previously sane people gather to drink and make fools of themselves. Lol. Having seen a severly autistic and mentally handicapped child grow up in front of my eyes to become a 20 year little boy, I have to say it is extremely hard to pick sides. Many people do not have the strength and patience to raise such children. But most human beings with a conscience and heart will find it hard to kill or humanely put to sleep their baby/child. Sip jan, I know you will find it teribbly cliche, but you are not a parent, and especially not a mother. You are looking at it from a black and white perspective. These parents should not have had the right to mutilate their own child. Aren't they playing God? And isn't it clear who benefits most from these "alterations"? Why wasn't prenatal testing done? I can agree as far as teminating the pregnancy if it is found out early on that the child will be handicapped or retarded. Believe me it is hard enough caring for and raising a normal healthy child. However, if the parents choose to bring the child into the world and care for him/her at home, then they should accept the child "as is" and refrain from making alterations and specifications which suite them. After all, even retarded children born into the world have a soul. BTW.....the people I know who care for the autistic 20 yr old are very devoted and loving parents. They are both somewhat disabled themselves, and in Soviet times they were discouraged from becoming pregnant, but they wanted to have a child more than anything in the world. If you ask them, they have no regrets, and they love their child and take excellent care of him.

Yes, the song is about Terez's son Hro. Her family and Aram's family are very close. When Aram was new to this country she helped him out a lot. But Aram wasn't such a bad person either. Aram and his family were at all of the parties from my mom's side. He was there as a guest, not a performer, but he always got up and sang for fun and to entertain. Some family members flew to Armenia to attend the funeral. I can't say anything about the accusations or supposed things he did. I don't know all the facts, but as a performer and singer, he was a huge part of our culture and some of his songs will always stay in my heart.
