Armat
Heart-felt thank you all for your jerm words. What is remarkable that Mateos started playing just a four mouths ego then to my surprise he kept asking for chess puzzles like check mate in one, two. Normally kids don't like doing homework but he kept asking for them. One day he did twenty puzzles and still going strong. Today after the result one GM Igor Fiogle played him out of curiosity and he could not contain his enthusiasm. He kept saying how naturally and thoughtfully Mateos plays. Anyway now Arvan's got home terf competition.

Anileve
Armat jan, you have a beautiful family and an incredible talent. I am sure that with a dad like you any kid would turn out to be so successful and happy. Your kids are deliciously adorable, you are lucky I am not around to squeeze them with all of my force and not let them go. Congratulation, chess is an incredible thing to master, you have yourself a little genius there.

sev-mard
Congrats that's cool. Wow Chess at such a young age. My dad used to have us play chess as well, but I wasn't a champion until I reached the 7th grade!

Armat
I just wrote this for press release and if you think anything I should change please feel free to suggest.Thank you in advance The scene could have been Hollywood movie script little boy hands up in the air waving a trophy with a big smile surrendered by bewildered parents. They had a real cause for surprised reactions. Mateos Sahakian age four just won the Massachusetts Grade Chess Championship in kindergarten section on February 29,04 by winning the prize with a perfect score. Mateos Sahakian is the younger brother of Arvan Sahakian who finished second on New England Scholastic Chess Championship a week earlier. Arvan age eight is already an accomplished chess player having won N.E. Scholastic Chess Championship in 2002 as well as numerous chess competitions. Having Arvan’s trophies all over the house Mateos needed no pushing since he wanted trophy himself and knowing this his mother Seda Matevosian prepared Mateos well by giving him numerous chess puzzles such as mate in one and two moves. What surprised Seda was Mateos’s insistence to be given chess puzzles at times even reaching ten in one day. It was clear that Mateos like his brother Arvan share a natural talent for this complex and challenging game. Both brothers get music and art lessons as well since the parents feel it is important for the kids to have a healthy well balanced childhood. Both brothers also attend Saturday Armenian School at St. James Armenian Church in Watertown. Although parents playing chess against their kids seem unlikely scene in general, it is a common occurrence in Sahakian’s household.Arvan and Mateos brothers have the potential to accomplish greater heights and in turn inspire us with them.
