Either way, that's a major thing to say to someone and I'm sure you can always sugar coat it. Girls are masters of letting guys know they dont like them. Hmm.. now I understand why this strange story with a sad ending happened to me. I had this cute student who missed almost all of the classes, then she missed the final test, then she came to me and asked for a make up test. Her excuse was that she got kicked out of her house and couldn't study, and as a matter of fact she wasn't wearing any underwear because couldn't do laundry ( ). Needless to say, I was a kind teacher and gave her the opportunity to test her knowledge and let her get the credit. I know it's a lie but it's a "safe lie" and you don't hurt their feelings. I also think it's not nice to say I am not interested b/c of your race/or I am just not interested in you and period.
