I taught myself when I was about 7 or 8 years old when my mother bought me my first electronic organ. I consider myself music blind though - i cant read music..just like a person who is dyslexic in reading and writing... I can play all sorts of music though. Funny thing is we got air time on the radio right away - easy really - I was the late night DJ and we jammed in the studio and just sent it out! LOL ...much fun... Harut Posted December 11, 2003 Report Share Posted December 11, 2003 i play dhol on my computer desk (or anything that can produce sound for that matter) once in a while. though i can decipher simple notes (written for one hand) and play them on piano, but can never play by ear because i have none when it comes to music. (plus, it's kind of uncomfortable, i rather play with fingers)i always wanted to learn to play guitar (especially back in Armenia, when i father would play a few songs he wrote in his wild years). but... i always ended up fliging the guitar and playing dhol on it. I had a go at plying the drums once, its awsome! LOL I dont have a good timing on it though but its a great way to beat stress! ! I prefer the grand piano and bongo drums myeslf! That's how I broke my guitar. As a kid I went to a guitar class one day. The teacher wrote in my notebook a lot of stuff like the history of music, some technical things, and said that I should learn those in the first place before I can start learning on the guitar.
