Jewish Friend
Jewish mother in laws are annoying. they don't mind their own business. they whine when they you don't call them. they hate it if you don't refer to them as "mom". They are maried to someone just as annoying..the father in law. are Armenian mother in laws just as bad? LOL JF

angel4hope
i believe that if the case is that one dislikes his/her inlaws--why is it that the husbands expect their wives to respect their mothers (kesur) but the husbands always say they hate their zonkanch---respect should be equal for both when two people get married they become family and disrespecting for say your husbands mother or your wifes mother--different in each case--is almost as if you are disrespecting your own family member---i do not understand this whole hate for inlaws.... angel4hope
well i guess you would like to be disrespected when you are once old and have children who are married.Too bad you cannot be a kesur or a zonkanch. Anyway i think respect is a powerful thing, especially in the armenian culture, but this one subject pisses me off because we armenians tend to disrespect our elders which is really sad..... Stormig
Funniest thing I heard from a friend of mine recently... She has a boyfriend whom the mother dislikes and her father likes (she says experience has been that the mothers like and fathers dislike)... So much so that one evening her boyfriend and father actually went out to drink without her getting to know about it until later. LOL
